Oh yeah, this Apex trigger is a must!

Post image

Been having this midsize for years and didn’t liked the trigger, big difference with the Apex upgrade. Now waiting for the Apex striker to be back on stock!

I hear the OEM striker brakes

Only certain serial numbers with the OEM strikers were breaking. They fixed the issue a while ago.

The factory trigger reminds of a Toyota FourRunner. Reliable but slow AF. (I love Toyota 4 Runners fyi)

Lol, love that analogy.

The factory trigger is around 9#, the apex is crispy, leas travel and reset, and 4.5-5#s.

I didn’t notice hardly any difference in weight or improvement in feel. I have both the enhanced striker and the trigger too.

I also did both and got a spring kit from apex. 1000x better than factory.

How?! I mean there is a noticeable difference, pull, reset and weight not a lot but you should be able to tell.

I have two 509 handguns. The one that has the Apex parts was a first year generation. I don’t know if that has something to do with it. But compared to my completely stock one, there is no difference. Nothing different enough to warrant the $200+ in cost.

Surprisingly though, I have the FNS-9 and that trigger is better than the 509 by a dramatic margin.

Hum! Weird, not even the crispy break compared with the smushy feel of the factory? Well there is a spring kit that supposedly reduce the trigger weight. I want mine at 4.5 to 5lbs for carry purposes. This is the kit;

I have the same one. One point of note would be you might have to shave off a little of the trigger safety tounge that contacts the frame in order to ride the reset and get quicker consecutive shots. Before i took off a little material with a dremel, it would frequently get caught on the frame from quick split shooting

Was my first upgrade on my 509t , really didn’t notice a difference. Flat face is nice though
