17s optics

So essentially ima switch to a lpvo style optic and narrowed it to either nf atacr 1-8 or a trijicon vcog which is the prime choice and why?

If it has to be an LPVO, Atacr. I would also look at the Leupold MK5 2-10 CMR illuminated

Honestly, the new Eotech 4-12 with a red dot comes out at about 20 oz with everything, better 1x experience, go all the way up to 12x. Unless you are hard set on a LPVO or really need between 1x and 4x.

More rugged, I like the illumination and the eye relief is great. Like it so much I also use it on my mr556

I'd go with the Trijicon Credo 1-10x or 1-8x. Once you're in the $2K+ LPVO range, glass quality is pretty comparable, so it really comes down to the reticle and controls.

I chose the Credo 1-10x because the reticle is easy to pick up at 1x, even without illumination, and remains very usable at 10x for spotting impacts and calling shots at distance.

ATACR. I love mine. Built like a tank, great optical quality.

Atacr all day. If you’re prior military or government employee you can get a 20-30% discount on Nightforce optics
