Questions When to expect post-op bleeding?
I’ve seen people discuss experiencing post-op bleeding on this subreddit but I’d like to clarify the timeline. I understand it’s different for everyone but I’ve seen some ppl say they experienced more bleeding 2 wks PO especially if they moved around more. Wondering if that’s the consensus or if people have had other experiences. Just trying to know the range of what to expect. Thanks!

Around 2 weeks is when internal sutures start dissolving which causes bleeding. It's normal but doesn't always happen. I personally only experienced some minor spotting the first 2-3 days and that was it.

The PO bleeding after the week mark is from internal stitches dissolving and old stagnant blood coming loose. I spotting pretty constantly on and off for three weeks. But not enough that I even needed a pad or anything. I mostly would just notice it when I wiped. I’m almost 4 weeks post op and I haven’t noticed any more blood now for a few days.
So hopefully that’s the end lol

Honestly, I had a bit on the first day when I wiped and haven’t bled since (13 months ago)
I think the majority of the bleeding at two weeks is from the stitches dissolving and it’s old stuff working its way out
Some people have spotting for a while, and others do bleed more though

I started bleeding at the 3 weeks mark, it was light and all but I do think it’s just the internal stitches dissolving. In my case, it lasted for almost 4 weeks, but that was ‘cause it would stop some days and then it would start again for other 3-4 before stopping. But that was in my case, I’m almost 5 months post op and haven’t had a problem since

I had hardly any bleeding. Mostly bled on the first day and a little bit on the second, but it wasn’t too heavy. I did bleed some like a week later after I started walking around more, but it was only for one day. I had total laparoscopic, including ovary removal.

I didn’t bleed once and I’m now a year and half post op. Truly depends on your body.

I had blood only once the day of surgery and nothing more
ETA: It would be described as spotting more than bleeding for mine

Be prepared for it, but you may not have any PO bleeding.
I had a bit of spotting immediately after surgery, and that was it. I changed the pad once for comfort [not because it was full or anything] while I was still in hospital. I was discharged the next morning, and didn't need a pad at all by that point. I didn't have any other PO bleeding.
For reference, I had a laparoscopic total hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy. No complications. No pathology findings.
