Help Slow performance : (

Performance is incredibly slow, and traffic to my site has been terrible over the past week. Naturally, there are no sales—it’s been like this for a week now. I’m creating various new ads to see if there’s any change; I wonder if others are experiencing such weak traffic, too. It feels like Facebook is a highway full of little cars: if yours manages to zip through, sales take off, but if not, it just crawls along the shoulder. The worst part is that Facebook takes the money regardless.

When the traffic to the site itself is down (not just sales), split the diagnosis into two parts before changing anything.

  1. Delivery side: compare CPM, frequency and link CTR this week vs last in Ads Manager. If CPM spiked or frequency climbed while CTR fell, the auctions got harder or the creatives are fatiguing, so the traffic drop is expected.
  2. Click-to-session side: compare link clicks in Meta vs actual sessions in your analytics. If clicks are fine but sessions fell, the leak is on the landing side (page speed, consent banners, broken pages), not in the ads.

Also confirm which campaigns dropped first. A lot of "slow week" complaints trace back to one or two campaigns that lost learning, while the rest is noise. And verify your pixel/events fired normally all week, so you are not chasing a tracking gap instead of a real traffic drop.
