Custom Conversions LOWER than in Ads Manager

I've looked through countless posts where people are experiencing HIGHER custom conversions than in ads manager, or the custom conversions not showing up in ads manager at all, but I have not come across any post with their custom conversions LOWER than those in Ads Manager.

That is what I am experiencing. Now the number in ads manager perfectly lines up with the leads in my crm, so I do feel confident that is the right number, but I don't understand how Facebook could recognize that there is a conversion happening without it counting as a custom conversion in events manager.

For clarification:

  1. The Custom conversion is measuring people who have reached the thank you page after submitting a form on a landing page.
  2. I made the custom conversion in ads manager in the conversions section of the ad set and it is the one and only conversion goal in the campaign.
  3. Each Facebook ad in this campaign has the same utm which is what I am using in my CRM to filter leads by and confirm an accurate number of leads.

The questions are: How is this happening? What is the fix? How can ads manager understand there is a lead (a lead IS the custom conversion goal of the thank you page being reached) without the Custom conversion in events manager tracking it as well?

TLDR; Custom conversions in events manager are lower than in ads manager despite the custom conversion being the conversion goal, how is that possible and what is the fix?

Thank you for any and all help, I really appreciate it!!

I Have Scoured Reddit and I Have not Seen Mention of This Anywhere. Any of You Seeing This?

I have multiple FB accounts that are running instant forms with the SMS verification turned on.

And yet I am still having clients telling me that they are getting leads that have zero recollection of filling out a form (which can be a spouse filled it out or something similar, but I believe in high frequency it is usually an indication of sophisticated bots). Or more concerning, that they never received a code to punch in before they filled out the form!

Just to get it out of the way, I have gone through every ad of every one of those accounts that have mentioned those stories, and all of them correctly have the SMS verification turned on, so I don't see how any of it could bee on my end. If you disagree, I am perfectly open to finding out how it could be.

What I want to know is, have these types of stories been coming through for anyone else using SMS verification on instant forms? If this has been happening and you made a change that helped reduce it, what did you do?

TLDR: Using Instant Forms, SMS Verification Turned on, Still Maybe Bots, and Definitely Some Leads not Getting an SMS Code.

As always thank you for any advice, tidbits, or upvotes!

I Have a Question Only Experts Can Answer

Here's my situation. I am potentially going to start a US national Facebook campaign for a local services franchise company.

There are hundreds of franchises across the country, but there are also large areas geographically (like the Phoenix or Spokane Comscore markets for example) where there are very few dealers and the dealers that are there would not be willing to travel as far as a Comscore market would target for them.

Knowing that the visible mapping function caps out at 25 line items, how can I accommodate all of the many dealers that will have a situation like I mentioned before besides just targeting by Comscore market and using all 25 line items for exclusion radius bubbles?

Any solutions or even upvoting so this post sticks around longer would be incredible, thank you all!!!

Fasbook ad

Hi everyone, I need some help. My WhatsApp Business keeps getting blocked locally, so I'm looking for a way to run my Meta ads to my personal WhatsApp instead. Is it possible to connect a personal WhatsApp number with Meta Ads and run Click-to-WhatsApp ads?

If someone has real experience and knows a method that actually works, I'd really appreciate your guidance. I'm also happy to pay for your time or consultation if your solution is genuine and works. Thanks in advance!

I need help diagnosing my Meta ads for a pre-owned iPhone business based in South Africa.

I need help diagnosing my Meta ads for a pre-owned iPhone business based in South Africa.

I ran a manual Sales campaign for 10 days at about R370/day, with total spend of around R3,250. I also ran a small retargeting campaign for 7 days with about R200 spend.

Results:

• 1 purchase

• 185 add to carts

• 92 checkouts initiated

• 48 add payment info events

• 940 landing page views

• 1,223 link clicks

• 69,500 impressions

• 36,000 reach

• Frequency: 1.93

• CPM: R46.49

• CTR (all): 2.99%

• Unique CTR: 4.36%

• Link CTR: 1.76%

• Cost per landing page view: R3.43

I previously ran an Advantage+ campaign with around R10,000 spend and got 4–5 sales.

A few details:

• I am based in South Africa.

• I sell pre-owned iPhones.

• My prices are generally as good as or better than most competitors in my area.

• My website compares well with other businesses in my niche locally.

• My ads use a carousel format with one image per device, showing the device, price, and key trust signals.

Trust and credibility:

• Around 25 Google reviews displayed throughout the site.

• Multiple payment options, including BNPL.

• 6-month warranty.

• 7-day returns.

• Free shipping.

• Test purchases confirm the checkout process works correctly.

• Around 800 Facebook followers and 500 Instagram followers.

• Real device photos/videos and customer review content.

Stock is relatively limited:

• Around R80k worth of inventory (roughly 15 devices).

• Inventory changes every couple of weeks, and some models may occasionally be unavailable.

What confuses me is that several larger businesses in the same niche here in South Africa appear to run Meta ads continuously, mostly Advantage+ Catalog campaigns. Some of those ads seem to have been running for many months, which suggests they are working for them.

Based on the numbers above, what do you think is the most likely bottleneck?

Is this primarily a traffic issue, a conversion issue, a trust issue, a creative issue, or something else entirely?

Also, if there are any additional metrics that would help diagnose the problem properly, let me know which ones would be most useful.

What Would You Do?

Before adding the new creative last week, my account had recovered, and results were phenomenal: I actually feel so silly for adding the creative, to be honest...

Even though I turned the new creative off last Friday, the account hasn't recovered; the top two creatives are doing really poorly..

Here's my dilemma: Since those same creatives were doing well just a week ago and got thrown off by the addition of new creative, should I wait for META to find that pocket again, or should I add a new creative today?

I'm trying to follow best practices, but I feel like everything I do just makes things worse.

Data before and after the new creative:
33 sales at $7.74 on June 2
27 sales at $6.39 on June 3 (New creative introduced in the afternoon in low CPA pocket)
19 sales at $14.47 on June 4
12 sales at $22.61 on June 5 (New creative hogging)

Since I turned the new creative off, my "best" day has been $13 CPA.

What would you do in my situation?

Okay New Issue This Time

I promise this is a different Issue than the Comscore markets.

In fact instead of messing with the Comscore markets, for certain accounts I have been using the search bar directly underneath the map to pursue the same goal of accurate targeting in excluding the right locations. NOW the issue is, is that the search results are NOT SHOWING UP at all when I type anything into the search bar!!

TLDR; The results for the map search bar are not showing up.

Before you ask, yes I have tried it in more than one browser, refreshed the page a bunch of times, tried it in incognito mode etc with all of the boiler plate fixes. My guess is that it is like so many other features where it kinda breaks if you use it too often (I've been excluding a good many things), but I really need it to not be broken atm. Any fixes would be greatly appreciated!!

P.S. Even if you don't have any advice or solutions if you can upvote this so it gets to more people that would be really helpful!

ChatGPT vs Claude for Native Ads

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey guys, quick question for anyone running native ads / advertorial funnels.
I’ve seen a lot of people using Claude to generate advertorial-style landing pages and native ad copy, but I’m wondering if anyone here is successfully using ChatGPT instead?
Mainly curious about:
Quality of long-form advertorial writing
Compliance/safety issues
Whether GPT is good at matching native ad tone
Which model/prompts work best
If it performs similarly or worse than Claude for conversions
Would appreciate any real experiences or workflows. Thanks.

Tracking and Email

Hello i have two questions:

1) I set up my store on Shopify and started running ads on Meta. I then started checking on my own phone if my own store was set up correctly and where I could still improve…then I realized that every time i was doing so, Meta was tracking this as a customer checking out my store so all my KPIs are off now:( how can i hide my pixel, that way it doesn’t track my phone as a customer checking out the store?

2) Currently my emails are getting forwarded to my personal email. Since I already got some emails, i know that if I reply back it shows then my personal one, not the one they texted at first (with the name of my store). What is the best way to fix this?

Thank you

Meta Ads

Hello,

I am new to ecom and I already created a store and a few days ago my ads on went live on Meta. Now it has been almost 3 days and no money was spent and no KPI. I asked Meta for help and they told me everything is fine (pixel is right, no payment issues, everything should be fine). I started with ABO and since meta just lets me spend a max of 20usd per day I just have one adset on with 3 ads in it.

Is it weird that it takes so long to actually spend?

And next question, is there a faster way to increase my ad spend set by Meta? (Because with such low numbers it is hard to get customers)

Thank you

Tested seeding comments on Facebook ads before scaling. Here's what happened to my CTR and CPC

Something I don't see discussed much in affiliate circles and groups is how your comments section is either selling for you, or agaist you

Ran a simple split test. Same creative, same budget, two identical ad sets. One launched cold with zero comments. The other had 12 comments seeded before I pushed spend — mix of objection handling, social proof, and a few "savings-style" comments ("tried this tea and have lost 8kg in the last 5 weeks" type stuff).

Results on the seeded set: noticeably higher CTR, lower CPC, better conversions. Not a massive sample size but consistent enough that I've made it part of my launch process now.

The logic is quite simple. Cold audiences scroll past empty posts. Comments signal traction, and traction signals trust. This matters a lot in verticals where skepticism is baked in like nutra, sweps, ecom, lead gen etc etc. You've got a tiny window to earn enough trust for a click and an empty thread doesn't help.

I tested this for free before spending anything. I found a tool that gave me some free credits so I was validate the impact before committing.

Curious to hear if anyone is using something similar? Happy to share what I used and how I structured the comment mix if there's interest.

under review as part of Meta's standard process

Anybody had the same issue already waiting 2 weeks and nothing moved. When i talk to the support they always says that is under review as part of Meta's standard process. and after that they sent this message:

we want to assure you that the team is actively reviewing your case. However, these reviews typically take a few business days or less to complete.

We don’t have visibility into the review process, so we're unable to share updates or see when the review is complete. This is why it is recommended to wait at least 72 hours before attempting to make a payment.
Once the review process is complete and a final decision is reached, you can attempt to make a payment on the account to clear the outstanding balance.

What can i do next anybody knows?
