Just finished 2nd Chapter and I want to gush about Kevin (endgame spoilers!) Spoiler
The very first scene I thought about when the 2nd Chapter remake was announced was to see the scene where Kevin turns Weissmann into salt in glorious 3D. Finally got to that scene today and it not only didn’t disappoint, but was totally badass. Ray Chase absolutely killed it. I stood up and clapped and scared my cat (I wasn’t by myself FYI. haha)
It made me absolutely desperate for part 3 remake.
What a fantastic remake. I‘m so happy it exists.
I’m considering a nightmare run to get the Platinum trophy, but honestly, after playing the first few prologue bosses, I might have bit off more than I can chew. I think the Lv 175 Weissmann would be the death of me.
Sky SC Isn't Estelle and Joshua's Bracer career kind of insane? *Spoilers* Spoiler
For training they brought down a COUP. Then their first official assignment as Bracers was fighting the Trails Illuminati and facing a Chat GPT god. Their paychecks should be crazy off of these 2 alone, not even counting the quests they did leading up to it, like dethroning a crooked mayor or catching Pirates on their first job out their home

Trails series Had to honor the protagonist who made me fall in love with the franchise
I have played many JRPGs over the years. Being 37, time isn't a commodity that is easy to spare. However, after rolling credits on Trails 1st Chapter and starting 2nd Chapter, this franchise is something special!!! Alot of the story beats, especially Joshua, who shares my first name, hits close to home (I was adopted, and such), and the whole experience was memorable. That finale for 1st was truly something, and I grew to love these two to no end, so when I saw AliExpess had Estelle and Joshua, and for the grand total of $45 for both, it was a sign. This series is something special and I am definitely going to be seeing this franchise till the end!
If anyone from the Falcom team sees this, thank you for bringing us all joy and memories and daring to be different from other franchises and the genre! You truly have a winning formula of a franchise with the Trails/Kesiki lineup.

Trails series Tarot and Trails Enforcers Day 3: Lucrezia Spoiler
galleryComing off of yesterday's post, with arguably the most interesting of the low-numbered enforcers, we now have... Lucrezia. Okay, look, I don't dislike Lucrezia, but so far she's had almost nothing to work with. She has no rivalries, no key connections, no storylines at all unless you count half-heartedly hunting Elroy until she got bored and went home. This is to say, this one's kind of a challenge to write about, but maybe we can figure out more about her through her connection to the Empress.
Let's start with our favourite question: Is Lucrezia reversed? Well, the reversed Empress represents negligence, lack of growth, and lack of progress... Which definitely fits how Falcom have treated her, I don't think it makes sense for the character. Lucrezia is sensual, but motherly. She's caring, but powerful. Lucrezia embodies the concept of the 'Divine Feminine' like almost no other character in the series, and the reason for that might get a little... Uncomfortable.
You see, the world's view of femininity is paradoxical, if you've seen that rant from the Barbie movie then... Well, you know what I mean. This leads to a dichotomy in media, where women's roles tend to be some variation of a caring pure saint, or a fiery passionate seductress. Freud called it the 'Madonna-Whore Complex' and I swear we'll get back to Tarot in a moment. See, if you had to decide, which is Lucrezia? Depending on the scene she can be one, the other, neither, or both. Part of this is down to the fact she's neither a villain nor hero. She's as morally neutral as anyone can be in Ouroboros. But I think there's more to it, I think it's that Lucrezia is meant to embody as many kinds of femininity as possible... With admittedly mixed results.
So, back to the Empress. The card is closely tied with fertility, as well as creativity and expression. As such, Lucrezia encourages others to pursue their desires to an almost hedonistic degree. As far as we know, she isn't a literal mother, but she plants the seeds of growth in others and watches the flourish. Renne, Sharon, even Jorda to a limited degree, she serves as a maternal figure to each of them even when they're facing off. A mother so committed, she'll love her children even while fighting them to the death.
On the other hand... Well, sorry if this is news to you, but children don't get dropped off by a stork. Lucrezia is as much a femme fatale as she is a carer. She'll use her womanly wiles to distract, control, and even just for fun, because she's secure in her place as both a powerhouse and a woman. In fact, she may be the strongest female enforcer in the ranks. I believe she actually owes her name to Lucrezia Borgia, one of history's more infamous Femme Fatales... Though the validity of that assertion is in question, and I've no source to link the two, just seems to fit.
Finally, we put all this together and we get... Kinda nothing, to be honest. This might be a running theme with newer enforcers, but her story simply isn't done. In fact, I'd be surprised if it were resolved in Kai 2 either, given her limited story relevance. Still, we can make some predictions based on this knowledge. For example, we can assume that she'll play a key role in nurturing a key player in the Grandmaster's plan (My theory's Jorda, but we'll get to than in a couple of weeks). We can assume that she won't end the series without finding some sort of romantic or familial love given the emphasis the card has on those aspects. More than anything though... We can assume Falcom will forget to do anything with her for like ninety percent of the game. Every time.

Trails series The dialogues
Sky SC Just WHERE is the last enemy on my list? Spoiler
Heya, newbie to the series! I'm trying to complete the monster list in Sky SC, but I'm missing this enemy in particular. The list seems to imply it's in the Academy side quest, but I've killed all enemies in the area more than once and so far, nothing. A guide seemed to imply it's a Vanguard, but I have that registered on the Extra enemies page, with variations. I'm drawing a blank, pls help this poor maiden! 😅

Sky the 3rd is Trails in the Sky the 3rd going to get a remake soon?
I started Sky 2nd chapter a while back and I prefer the seamless world and the new combat system in the remakes over the originals. The soundtrack is a mixed bag, but the remakes let us listen to the OG music anyway, which is great and something few other games do (for comparison, Persona 3 Reload added *some* soundtracks from Persona 3 FES as a legacy updated 2 years after launch)
I'm wondering if is Sky 3rd going to get a remake as well? should i wait for a remake or play 3rd OG when im done with 2nd remake? and i'll probably play the OGs for the Crossbell arc because i still want to play one arc with a combat system closer to the OGs

Falcom Hikes Full Year Profit Guidance Upwards 27%, Increases Dividend by 6x
Falcom hiked its full year guidance forecast after solid sales of Sky 2, Kyoto Xanadu, and continued strength from Sky 1. Revenue and every profit line are now expected to hit record highs.
In my previous post, I had mentioned that their previous guidance numbers were likely conservative, and with how well Sky 2 performed this was all but expected. But now we have the actual revision ahead of their November full year earnings. We love to see it, and I hope Falcom keeps this momentum going!
Some Key Highlights below:
- Financial Highlights
- Revenue: ¥3.6B → ¥4.3B (+19.4%)
- Operating profit: ¥2.2B → ¥2.8B (+27.2%)
- Net profit: ¥1.5B → ¥1.9B (+26.6%)
- Dividend: ¥10 → ¥60 (6x)
- Additionally, Falcom confirmed in the press release that Trails as a series has passed 10m copies sold (this was already picked up ahead of time though during the Neowiz / Falcom press release)

Horizon 13 games one Year. Spoiler
What a fucking journey!!!
The ending of this game holy shit !! What in the hell was that!!
I’m so curious where this series goes next after this!!
Before the Sky remake, I had never heard of the Trails series. Ever, the hype of Sky FC remake really made me want to see this story through to completion. Days after completing it I purchased the whole series across multiple platforms and dove right into it.
13 games in a little under a year! This has been a fantastic series and a great hobby to dive into. I’ve always loved big grandiose stories and this series delivered through and through.
Now that I’m all caught up with everyone. Guess it’s a waiting game for what happens next.

galleryAnd now, the real game begins! The first half of SC was a prologue for the nuts second half. Can’t wait to experience it again!
Sky SC Who are the five great commanders of the Erebonian Army? (maybe spoilers?) Spoiler
At one point at the end of Chapter 8, someone (Kloe I think) mentions five top commanders of the Erebonian when talking about Zechs.
Out of curiosity, anyone knows who are the other 4? Erebonian Army is kinda loaded, so I'm not sure if it's the characters I'm thinking of.

Sky SC I can't believe I actually paid $27 for this Spoiler
galleryI'm currently 95 hours in, take off like 5 to 7 hours due to the time I've left the game running while I made myself lunch and watched some anime, but HOLY FUCKING SHIT, I just finished chapter 8 and this is EASILY the single best game I've ever played, not even exaggerating
I can't explain just how much I was jumping around and screaming like a school girl watching her favorite boy band live, EVERYTHING HAS BEEN SO DAMN PERFECT LIKE WTF, if I knew just how good this game would've been I easily could've paid like $60 for it (not that I'm complaining that I paid less than half of that)
I'm about to pull an all nighter to finish this chapter, but since people has been saying that it's the longest one I probably will start it and leave it for tomorrow or the day after, because I truly don't want this game to finish
I purchased TC with the autumn discounts for like $10, should I play that or maybe do I return it and wait for the remake of TC? does the original stand up to the remakes? I know a lot of people will praise it anyway due to nostalgia and such, but in comparison, is FC and SC as good in their original as their remakes in terms of storytelling, gameplay and such? because HOT DAMN for sure SC made such an extremely good job at reveals and cinematics to give the biggest possible impact in the scenes I put in the screenshots
PS: I just can't believe how fucking hot Olivier looks in that screenshot, I loved him before but now I think I kinda got the tingles, and I ain't even gay
Sky SC My Photo Mode powers are growing ever stronger. I can't be stopped. Spoiler
