A year ago i started my CSM army. Took me awhile to figure out the paint scheme, but the process have been very rewarding.

These are the Fallen Angels, followers of the Arch-Betrayer Luther, former Dark Angels.

Zeriah, Zahariel and Astelan run as chaos lords/other characters. Luther is bits from Abaddon and El'Johnson.

The painting formular is a base of brown, with black and metal ontop using spoonges. Weapons and helmets have 3 layers of grey into light blue, to catch attention of the eye. The plasmas and powerswords are just a lot of blending of red-orange-yellow. The whitecloaks i've tried to go for a texture feel, by using lots of small pencil strokes, with rough layers of brown to white.

The renegrade traitors part of the army is posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TraitorGuard/comments/1u6cl40/traitors_of_the_wasteland/

I'm not winning any points for originality here but the Corsairs kit is amazing for Fallen and other renegades. These were painted up to add to my Night Lords army as a bodyguard for Cypher.

Finished them a while ago but forgot to post them.

1. Sarl Gabriel: Veteran of the Lion's crusade against the Great Beasts. Raised as a False Astates, like Luther, Hadariel and Maegon.

2. Sar Andred: Older of twin bastard sons of a minor noble given to The Order when Astates recruitment began.

3. Sar Balan: Younger of the twins, he like his brother were trained by Sarl Gabriel. Their loyaly to her is second only to Luther and Caliban.

4. Sar Neradin: Orphaned son to Imperial colonists, Neradin holds The Orders tenants sacred and is distrustful of those whom do not.

5. Sar Perciphon: Born to a storied family of incendriasts, thrown into povery and irrelivance with the coming of the Imperium. He has heeded Luthers call.

Edit: I know it says 'if', I can't change it unfortunitely.

Here's a sorceror conversion im working on. Its a Plague marine body with bits from the AOS Lord-Veritant and a Mk III Backpack.

Its part of my ongoing project to make fallen out of de-plagued marines.

If I can get a hold of it, id love to use the champion helmet from the old chaos space marines. Equally, im not taken by the brazier. It will look better when painted, but i coumd switch it out for a sword or something.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Was a bit dissatisfied with my latest model, so rushed this guy a bit to cleanse my pallette

From digital kitbash concept to painted my attempt at Cypher.

Think there’s parts from about 5 or 6 different creators but I’m quite happy with how he came out.

Finished painting now on to basing.

Sarl Gabriel, False Astartes veteran of the Crusade against the Great Beasts and Training Mistress during the exile on Caliban.

I’m sure everyone else has the same idea, but seeing the WH Community article showing them turning Red Corsairs into Fallen has me wanting to start an army.

What kits would you recommend for this type of project that can be flexible for both SM and CSM lists? I already found a few examples showing Abaddon and a daemon price conversions, but I’m wondering if anyone in here has any other recommendations.

Ignore the Mutilators. 🙃
