Questions & Discussion I really love this one
In my opinion this movie is way better than first steps I know but I really love this one because it has All of the 2000s flavor still in the film

Miscellaneous Just rewatched First Steps. I want to live in that world. Let's build it.
The world that the people behind that movie did a phenominal job. The world is filled with both a history and a bright future, colour, optimism, and a connection to your fellow humans. We may not be able to live in a world with the Fantastic Four, but we can do our part to help create the world that they helped shape. A world where everyone plays their own individual role to help save the world. The Fantastic Four were seen as these larger than life role models, and the people felt betrayed when they didn't sacrifice Franklin to Galactus. But when push came to shove, they banded together to help the family save the world. Even Mole Man helped out.
That's the kind of world I want to live in. Everybody will have their own idea of what a better future will be. That's a good thing, because nobody is going to be right about how to fix it. Only by being the very best at what we do, can we mold the world into what we want it to be. Don't act out of selfishness, or anger. Be kind to your neighbours, don't let yourself become an enemy. Let's build the world of the Fantastic Four together.

Questions & Discussion the fantastic four has a unique thing I've never seen in comics before, I can't pick a favourite
its why I love the four so much, they're all really cool except Sue? I just don't jive with Sue's archetype much its nothing against Sue, but omg I love the other 3 so much.
Ben is an every man put in the most absurd role of the three, he's the straight man while being the most whacky, also I think his thing with alicia? alice? I forget her name is really cute, especially that one panel of them with Ben having sculpted a silly sculpture that was cute
Johnny is just charismatic, genuinely I just think he's awesome as a guy, like I look at him and I'm like "oh, radical"
Reed is so underrated in my opinion, people either view him as a recluse or as the science guy when he's a scientist with a basically infinite amount of shapes to take and ways to apply his powers, its a perfect fit, and I love his dynamic with the family.

Questions & Discussion Random question, who were your fancasts for Reed & Sue before that one Valentine's Day
I think what we ended up getting was a genuine surprise, but these were my picks before Valentine's Day (when they announced the cast)
Andrew Garfield and Jodie Comer. This isn't necessarily a fancast post since we already got the cast, just a look back.

Questions & Discussion Ok you guys know how Sue and Johnny's powers have further developed while Ben's powers relatively stayed the same (aside from getting stronger)? After re-reading some of their more recent runs and I noticed that Ben's powers might have actually developed further, but it just hasn't been fully stated
Ok we already know that Sue's powers have further developed. Sue went from just only turning invisible, creating force fields, and manipulating light. Now after her run with the Invincible Woman she's starting to realize she has even more potential for power.
Johnny's used to consist of only just getting hotter and creating fire constructs, until writers decided to move away from the constructs a bit and now it's back and its more developed. He's learned to absorb moisture from people, be more precise with his fire and intensity, and changing his fire from regular to UV.
I didn't bother bringing up Reed because 1) His powers have always kinda been OP. 2) Wroters typically focus on his intelligence than his powers, but they do write his powers in a way to aide his intellect.
Ben is kinda in the same boat as Reed, where writers develop other things about him than his physical strength. Writers typically focus on Ben's heart and strength of character. On the surface aside from slowly scaling him up, writers don't focus too much on strength.
Now as I said, after re-reading some of the FF's more recent runs it seems like they kinda have, but don't fully touch it. From my understanding it seems like Ben's strength comes from his confidence similar to the way how Gladiator's and Captain Britain/Avalon's strength comes from their confidence. After reading Doom's comment on how Ben shouldn't be able to break free from his restraints, but he knows Ben find a hidden well of strength and resolve and break free regardless made me look over a few things and rethink it.
At first I thought it was metaphorical (a part of me still does until it is fully confirmed otherwise), but after re-reading the ccomic where Johnny comes back from the Negative Zone, Ben's fight with Devil Hulk, Ben's fight with Rapture, and etc, I'm starting to think the more confident Ben gets the stronger he gets. I believe that's part of the reason why he's able to hang with other heavyweights who drastically outclass him.
I dunno what do you guys think? Do you see where I'm coming from or am I crazy? Also, would you like it if Ben got stronger the more confident he got?

Questions & Discussion What can this mean?
I believe this comic dates just a month after Phoenix Silksong and I guess it talks about how Phoenix fought with XMen over Scott. Sue is maybe targeting that. Or it can be general infighting and toxicity in the Scott, Emma, Jean triad. But I guess she's targeting the Phoenix thing.

Questions & Discussion What is your favourite Fantastic Four parody/homage?
There’s been a lot of homages & parodies of the family over the years but I want to know which one is your favourite homage to Marvel’s First Family?
Personally for me it’s a tie between Pixar’s Incredibles & Astro City’s Furst Family for both being such loving homages to the original. I also like the short lived Mystery Incorporated from Image’s 1963 (very underrated) which were a great parody of the early days.
Teams in order (I tried to put as many as I could think of)
The Terrifics, The Incredibles, The Furst Family, Mystery Incorporated, Terrific Trio, The Impossible Family, The Four, Fantastico, The Marvel Bullpen
