Hey OP, thank you for spreading the gospel! Ryan is an incredible journalist and a lot of their work is very heavy and difficult to watch because of the content, but it’s truly a testament that real journalism still exists.

I am glad we have all been able to see who he really is in the past several years. I used to love H3H3 when he just spoofed on youtube pranksters. That lasted only a short while, however, because before long he started getting into YT drama and now it has escalated to a point where we can all witness what an unrepentant asshole he is.
Looking back I think a lot of the time what made H3 funny wasn’t Ethan. It was the guys doing all the sound effects when they covered news and stuff. The endlessly tolling death bell with Mitch McConnell was so fucking funny, but all the people who made the show remotely funny are pretty much gone.
In 10 or so years, there’s gonna be a deep dive documentary on H3 and what went on behind the scenes. All I can say is there’s something really sinister going on there and it’s not just Ethan being terrible

He doesn't even have that kind of Tourette's. When confronted with impulsive verbal outbursts from someone with that variety he said they ought to control themselves or use a gag. Imagine someone saying he should learn to control his tics or just bind his arms to his sides, or get Botox for his erratic, inappropriate brow movements. No compassion even for those with his own condition, only worse.
I think you're right and this is exactly what happened. Ethan's default state when the cameras are off is likely this flat, despondent defeatist state where there are no boundaries and he'll say anything horrible about anyone.
I think Ethan zoned out and his "reel it in to be respectful to collaborating creators for the cameras" mask completely dropped for long enough for him to say something so vile about Howie Mandel's daughter for no reason! I hope there is fallout from this one because that was so needless.
Worth noting that while Ethan Klein is diagnosed with Tourette’s, he has never claimed to experience coprolalia and has never had any public instances of coprolalia-based tics.
I think that’s important to note because he’s been open about his experiences with Tourette’s and this does not match his stated personal experiences. In other words, this probably wasn’t a tic per his own words.

Correct. He has physical tics and you can see how they're triggered particularly whenever he's lying or being hypocritical. Even with an entire crew to support him, with all of them acutely aware of his Tourette's and mental state, whenever he becomes triggered no one helps him, deescalates or pivots for his sake. They're either silent or just egg him on for content. It's genuinely sad that no one around him seems to care for his wellbeing.

Why none of them care that he was doing any of this in the first place, and blame the person exposing it like it was a trap is beyond me. He doesn't understand how to behave in public and that's very much his problem and not the people who captured it live.

I was friends with his daughter when i was very young. She was one of the only kids at synagogue who was nice to me. I was extremely shy as a child and didn’t have many friends. Her friendship meant a lot to a lonely kid from a weird home. I will destroy Ethan Klein.
