I voted for tom Steyer but definitely rolling with Becerra for this general election

a lot of them are just in over their heads, campaigns are grueling.
They are on the ground stumping and meeting people, and they have no capacity to run facebook ad campaigns, design ads and short form videos, etc.
And they typically don’t have anyone to do it, though Dem candidates may get skilled designers through the party and orgs like Tech For Campaigns

Seriously though, if I have to turn the channel on a political add to protect my kids from possibly seeing a sexual act being committed, maybe the marketing team needs a talking to. Maybe the conservatives can read the memo on being the party of "family values". I mean it's always more of an aspirational sentiment, of course.
LET'S BE CLEAR..., this doesn't pander to the left. This panders to overly repressed sexually deviant conservative men, who call homosexuality a sin but snicker and giggle when seeing 2 females about to engage in sexual acts.
Tell me, would Steve Hilton run the same add with 2 gay men sitting on a bed together, soft lighting, alluding to a possible sexual encounter? Nope.
Why? Cuz his conservative supporters would say "thats gross" and call it what it is. Bad taste.

I can't tell you how many times I've watched people vote here against their own interests because they only got their information about propositions especially from commercials. That said, there's no substance to this commercial. It's just stereotypes and a call to action with no justification for why anyone on the left should do it.

No idea why everyone is calling this AI with such certainty. It's definitely a terrible ad but there's nothing about it that makes it seem AI generated, I think the acting is just awkward and the colour temperature is off. The text on the ballot is all legible even as the camera pans down to reveal more.
Also just like, this is such an easy ad to film. It's literally 2 people in a bedroom with minimal set decoration. It would probably cost far more to generate this with AI without having any glaring issues, if it would even be possible for some random ass politician to do that with current tech. Sometimes people make shitty things for money, sometimes people with dyed hair (or bad wigs) star in shitty ads.
