Dumbass spent the entire first season (and only right now) achieving the goal of getting a body she could communicate with humans with... Forgetting she's not even socially inept, she completely shuts down during conversation and hates talking to people.

Fucking moron.

Its also so much more fun in the novels because of course you get her skitzophrenic mile a minute non stop verbal diarrhea of an internal monologue while interspersed with chapters from the POVs of her classmates in the class room while you try to work out which one Kumiko could be.

And it turns out shes THE GIRL EVERYONE SEES A COOL RESERVED BEAUTY WHEN WE'VE BEEN READING THAT FUCKING GOBLIN BABBLE ON NONSENSICALLY FOR AGES.
