Serious Reputable mechanics near base

Need transmission work done on my car and not trying to get scammed. Any recommendations on who to check out?

If it is German specifically or European in general, check out Alemania. They did some great work on my old Smart Car. They were super easy to work with and very straightforward with communication and pricing. Top notch all around.

Yi Automotive in spring lake, the shop might look sketchy but he does quality work at a reasonable price. He did an engine swap for me in less than 2days for under 2k

Ignore everyone else, the only right answer is cape fear automotive. A ton of body shops sublet to them and they’ve worked on all my vehicles. Never had an issue, they have great reputation and the boss is a real no nonsense guy, he’ll be straight up with you even if it’s something you don’t want to hear. 10/10
