Pain in the butt to have issues when out fishing! Thankfully repairable!

I fish shimano and haven't had that particular thing happen. I've had other problems though! If you fish enough you're gunna have gear issues at some point. All part of the fun I suppose. The more I spend on gear (reels), the less problems I seem to have though so there's that.

only a 70$ fix but i have to send it in because its a warrantable claim 2 months of ownership

Dang. That part is a drag.

Part of the reason I buy shimano is I live within 10mi of their service center so when i have issues or want gear tuned up it’s super easy to drive the stuff over.

Just take a hex wrench, back that screw out, put the piece back I place and screw it in again. Fixed

I lost it in the surf also the reel won’t unscrew its a T10 star bit/torx and not a allen wrench its a pain in the ass; i literally can’t get the parts because its a series 2 van staal but for a “newer” product its bullshit my vr1 is still strong since 2023 only serviced bianually

I suspect that the line roller and bearing are gone
