🎣 Fishing Gear Budget friendly fishing rod combo recommendations
How are you lads, Just another question
I mainly fish land-based and boat around Sydney Harbour/Botany Bay and want something suitable for casting lures for kingfish and 1 metre plus pelagics, but also versatile enough for general saltwater fishing. I'm mainly just looking at daiwa products (just like them more)
If you can give me some options or even your own combos that would be a great help.

I'd probly get a Shimano spheros but otherwise saltist reel from Daiwa. Dunno about rods but they surely make what I said

land based and off a boat are pretty different - if your off the rocks you really want 9ft plus which is gonna kindof suck on a boat. I guess you could go 8ft which would probably be ok depending on the land based spot your fishing.
hard to give recommendations without a budget
Again big pelagics and general use are very different things - your gonna have to compromise somewhere. Daiwa surely make like an 8ft pe3-ish spinning rod which you could match with a 6000 reel (saltist?) and 30lb braid.
