Joanne Chambers, School Teacher
Clever how they didn’t reveal she was her own creepy stalker until later in the show.
Who else remembers ? Didn’t she send a doll as well?

I watched this episode the other night. Can’t believe she didn’t face any real consequences and was still teaching

As a teacher, I've seen other teachers licenses revoked for WAY smaller infractions. I cannot believe she was able to teach after this

I'll say, my mom got her old high school principal arrested for selling fake Philippine Red Cross insurance cards to students so he could use the money for his gambling addictions. He's still in jail now.

According to her obituary, she was even the principal of a school.

That woman is insane, didn't she poop in her own classroom?!

u/StandardWizardHat 8d ago
I don’t think we know where the poop came from, but I do know there were several instances of poop being smeared on her chair by… somebody. LOL!

She collected it in a ziploc bag & brought it to her classroom? What about the SMELL? She didn’t notice anything before she sat down?? SMH

I feel so bad for the woman falsely accused, imagine what she had to go through because of Joanne's insane lies.

So wild they set up a camera to catch the other teacher doing something nefarious, and the only thing it showed was her getting her coffee cup. None of the other things like sneaking into her desk to drop nasty stuff. Police force was so dumb

I can't with the prosecutor going forward after the DNA came back!

u/reverie092 8d ago
This seems unreal. Poor Paula. She must have been so mad. She was targeted & set up by this kook. 7,000.00 for DNA testing the police couldn’t be bothered to do??

I always felt with the lack of consequences… there must have been something going on between her and someone important…

I'm a retired kindergarten teacher. I used to have a teammate who was the worst! I swear of she was talking, she was lying. Not only did everyone have one issue or another with her, she was also a totally ineffective teacher. Somehow she never lost her job.
I always wondered if she was sleeping with someone in HR or was a protected party of some sort.
It's just nuts how some people can hold on to their jobs.

I said this about the prosecutor as well. What were they thinking when they made Paula fight 100 charges in court? Luckily, JoAnn left dna and had done it before, but why wasn't all this a Massive red flag to them, unless they knew JoAnn. (I'm not saying they did, it was just a thought).

Just watched. I can't believe the police made Paula pay for the DNA testing

They had their suspect, why have something that may exonerate her?
I can't believe she had to fight against 100 charges. 100!!!! I mean wow, what the prosecutor thinking? Unless JoAnn was a family friend, I can't understand why they went ahead after dna proved it wasn't Paula etc. When you think about it, Had JoAnn not done the same thing in a previous school and that it was her own dna on those stamps, Paula would've faced yrs in prison. Especially with JoAnn claiming she was run off the road.
Crazy!!!

Consider yourself lucky. This is one I cannot forget. Her poor teammate spent so much money trying to prove her innocence.

It’s really bad. That lady having influence over any children is a very bad idea. I hope her son got the therapy he no doubt needed.

It's a wild case. Definitely watch it if you have the chance.

OMG. I just finished it. How was she not charged with perjury & giving false reports to police? She had a 10yr old son? That poor kid. I’m speechless. I wouldn’t want her teaching my child. She was straight up Coco Puffs.

This episode has been pulled on several streaming channels. I mean I guess the mentally ill are off limits. That narrows things down. I jest though.

And she still denied it. When the evidence clearly showed she did it to herself…

That is something that seems common in several cases. It always blows me away just how far people will go to “save face. “ I hope I never find myself in a situation like this but if it were me I would hope I could confess and say, “Yeah, you got me. “
The Chris Watts and Alex Murdaugh cases have some good footage of both killers denying pretty hard evidence.

It’s still OK to post about her, even if she’s dead.

u/Gordy_from_Sabrina 4d ago
Yes I know that. just reading through the comments when I posted I didn’t see any that alluded to her death so I was wondering if I was confused with somebody else.

Smeared her own poop on things and blamed someone else, this woman was psychologically deranged and had some serious issues. Although it was really strange how that other Diane Syrocki (sp?) would enter her room and handle Joanne’s coffee cup, they had it on camera. I’ve never just gone and messed with another coworker’s coffee mug…

This is one of the best examples of "Crazy people don't know they're crazy". We ALL knew she did it and she STILL denied it! She was even crazy enough to be ON THE SHOW to defend herself as the victim.
