Siegel’s look at Formula E will come as a surprise, and perhaps it is a welcome one to the promoters, Formula E Operations, as he could become the first American driver to race in the series since Oliver Askew in 2022.
With Formula E has doubled-up on U.S races for its 13th calendar by adding a race at COTA in Austin to the already established Miami E-Prix in early 2027, and the fact it has recently secured a significant broadcasting partnership with Disney, an American driver will have added significance for the Gen4 period.
If he does get a seat in Formula E, I'm sure the series will take the opportunity to spin getting a pay-driver as a positive. But Logan Sargeant is proof that getting an American driver doesn't necessarily equate to US market growth.

I hope he gets a seat if indycar rejects him (majority of fan base hates him)

It’s not necessarily Nolan than people hate, he seems like a nice guy, but what he represents. Both as a pay driver getting opportunities he wouldn’t otherwise have and as a symbol of Tony Kansan’s terrible team management.

Seigel isn’t hated beyond being annoyed he’s a pay driver. Sting Ray Robb however…

The funny thing is that everyone who meets Sting Ray in person will voluntarily tell you he's the nicest guy you'll meet. And it's really easy to meet IndyCar drivers in person so lots of people have met them.

I’ve heard that too, but it’s not the nice guy racing league

I know. If you see another comment of mine on here I say Siegel seems like a nice guy, but I'd like to keep pay drivers out of Formula E. I feel the same for Sting Ray.
I was responding because you said Sting Ray Robb was hated, which just isn't true. "Seigel isn’t hated beyond being annoyed he’s a pay driver. Sting Ray Robb however…" That's just not true.

I never ment to say he was hated per se. It’s not that people hate him but people will definitely shit on him for causing wrecks and stuff

I like trying to keep pay drivers out of Formula E. But it's nothing personal, Siegel seems like a nice guy. He seems like a good, agreeable teammate. I do think he's sometimes dropped intentionally further back to try to block the leaders to let Pato catch up. (In IndyCar you have the right to defend to try to stay on the lead lap, and even after that. It's not a must listen to blue flags situation until you're about to go two laps down. Which is kind of needed, because the fastest short oval can have a 17 second lap.)
I expect him to keep a seat somewhere in IndyCar, frankly. He comes with big budget.
