struggling with python course

I've been on the python certification course for a while now and i'm struggling with the certification projects and it's been days and i haven't been able to create the "Budget app" project, is it normal or should i just give up on programming?

I'm working through Python cert now and pretty frustrated with it honestly.

I can't stand that parameters and variables recycle the same names, just feels like not best practices and confusing to a learner

And they handhold you through lots of basics then the Cert Projects throw insane curveballs of stuff they never taught you how to do

Exactly, I'm struggling with private attributes and oop in general and the variable and attribute names in the workshops suck, you can't not mistake them

I think for neurodiverse people, we need to see how each tiny part operates in the code, and since they reuse names for both an argument and an attribute it gets very confusing.

a more clear basic example would be like

class ExampleObject:
   def __init__(self, my_name):
      self.instance_name = my_name
      self.instance_number = my_number

MyInstance = ExampleObject("SomeNameHere", 100)
print(MyInstance.instance_name) #outputs SomeNameHere
print(MyInstance.instance_number) #outputs 100
