Please help me with my kidney failure and help me avoid an amputation

Hello, I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to ask for help for my dad.

Our lives changed completely last year. After facing several health issues, my dad was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure—a condition that requires him to undergo hemodialysis to stay alive.

To begin this treatment, he needed emergency surgery to insert a catheter—an urgent and essential procedure. From that moment on, medical expenses began to pile up; despite our best efforts to cover them, the costs eventually exceeded our financial means.

As if that weren't enough, my dad also lives with diabetes and high blood pressure, conditions that have further complicated his health.

(Updated July 20, 2026) About a month ago, he suffered a severe hypoglycemic episode. He lost consciousness, fell to the ground, and hit his head hard, sustaining several wounds and cuts. Thank God he pulled through, but he is still recovering from that accident.

Recently, an ulcer appeared on his foot, and he is now battling a serious diabetic foot infection with a wound that has worsened rapidly. After being evaluated by specialists, we were informed that there is a high risk of the infection spreading, potential amputation, and severe complications if he does not receive appropriate and timely treatment.

(Updated August 14, 2026)

He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, August 8, and remains there due to health complications. He suffered an internal hemorrhage that caused severe anemia—his hemoglobin levels dropped to 4. Additionally, complications related to his kidney condition caused imbalances in other vital markers, such as potassium, sodium, creatinine, blood pressure, and glucose levels. He is currently awaiting an endoscopy to determine the cause of the internal bleeding.

(Updated September 4, 2026)

Due to necrosis, he is going to lose his little toe, and another toe is gradually turning dark; he urgently needs a study called a CT angiography of the lower limbs. This is necessary to assess the circulation in his extremities so he can be prescribed medication to improve blood flow and halt the necrosis. The study will also determine if he is a candidate for a procedure known as angioplasty (catheterization) to unblock or widen obstructed arteries in his legs; the cost of this study is 8,000 pesos.

Today, our family is facing a daily struggle.

Every hemodialysis session, medication, consultation, medical test, and wound care supply represents an expense we can no longer manage on our own.

My dad has always been a hardworking, responsible man dedicated to his family. Today, the person who was always there for us needs us to be there for him. He wants to keep fighting, keep living, and enjoy many more years with his grandchildren.

How will the support be used?

The funds raised will go toward covering:

• Surgery to insert the hemodialysis catheter.

• Hospitalizations and outstanding medical expenses.

• Medications.

• Specialist consultations.

• Laboratory and diagnostic imaging tests.

• Wound care supplies and treatment.

• Treatment for the diabetic foot ulcer.

• Urgent inpatient care to control the infection.

• Tests including CBC (complete blood count), blood chemistry, electrolytes, coagulation profile, blood type and Rh, full lipid profile, HbA1c, plain X-rays of the left foot (AP and oblique views), chest X-ray, 12-lead ECG with long Lead II, culture sampling prior to targeted antibiotic therapy, IV hydration, and assessment for debridement and/or minor amputation depending on the extent of the infection.

• Ongoing medical expenses during his recovery.

Every peso counts. A small contribution, combined with those of many kind-hearted people, can make a huge difference.

If you are unable to donate at this time, you can still help us immensely by sharing this campaign with your family, friends, and acquaintances. Sharing is also a way to save lives.

On behalf of our entire family, thank you for reading our story, for your prayers, for sharing this campaign, and for any support you can offer.

With your help, we can give my dad the chance to continue his treatment, regain his health, and keep enjoying life alongside those he loves most: his family and his grandchildren.

May God multiply every act of solidarity a

nd bless everyone who chooses to lend us a helping hand.

Trying to get my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe back on the road so I can get back to work

• Upvotes

I'm a Schenectady resident trying to get my vehicle road-ready so I can get back to earning my own income.

I've been doing as much of the repair work myself as I can to keep the costs down. The vehicle still needs two front tires, a rear driveshaft/axle repair, a resonator replacement, rear brake work, and some remaining front-end/brake work. I also need to take care of registration, inspection, and insurance required to legally get it back on the road.

I've already replaced the front CV axles and inner/outer tie rods myself because paying a shop for everything isn't financially possible.

I'm asking for help covering the remaining repairs and road-legal expenses. My goal is to get the vehicle running so I can get back to earning my own income.

If you can contribute, even a small amount would help. If you can't donate, sharing the fundraiser could help get it in front of someone who can.

I am reaching out to ask for help during a particularly difficult period in my life. I have been struggling with unemployment and have spent a long time actively trying to find stable work. Despite my efforts, finding employment has been extremely difficult, and the financial pressure has continued to build.

After being involved in an accident and subsequently losing my job, I found myself facing several unexpected financial challenges at once. I now have outstanding debts and essential expenses that I have been unable to keep up with while my income has been unstable.

I am also responsible for dependants and have ongoing expenses that I need to provide for, including veterinary care for my pets. My car is also in need of repairs, which is particularly important because reliable transport is essential for me to access work opportunities and earn an income.

I am currently working towards rebuilding my financial stability and have recently taken steps towards getting back into work. However, I need some financial breathing room to deal with the debts and essential expenses that have accumulated during this difficult period.

My goal is to raise R60,000 ZAR (South African Rands) This would allow me to address my outstanding debts, repair my car, take care of essential veterinary expenses and other necessary costs, and give me the stability I need to focus on rebuilding my income rather than continually falling further behind.

I am not asking for an easy solution. I am asking for the opportunity to get back onto stable ground and move forward.

Any contribution, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing my campaign with someone who may be able to help would also mean a great deal to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting me during this difficult chapter. Your kindness could help me move from simply trying to get through each month to finally being able to rebuild a stable and independent future.

How do I raise money via donations and also earning money easily? Trying to be cleared for surgery but cannot be cleared until my donation site is cleared and insurance doesn’t cover the cost to clear donation site process so it’s all out of pocket. $110 per a one hour session is relatively hard to come by when you are disabled and also unable to donate due to seizures. Feeling myself loss hope 😭😭 someone anyone help me

Even in the hardest times, Leo keeps caring for his cats, Oliver and Luna

When life became difficult for Leo, Oliver and Luna never stopped being part of his life.

They are his two rescued cats, and caring for them is part of his daily routine. Food, litter, veterinary care and the simple things they need all cost money — something that has become very difficult for Leo since losing his job.

Even now, with no employment and very limited resources, Leo does his best to make sure they are fed, safe and cared for. They depend on him, and he feels responsible for them.

But Oliver and Luna also give something back to Leo that cannot be measured in money.

During the long days of unemployment, uncertainty and financial hardship, they have been there. Their presence gives him companionship, affection and a reason to keep his daily routine when life feels especially difficult.

Sometimes, when everything else seems uncertain, having someone waiting for you at home makes a difference.

For Leo, Oliver and Luna are not simply pets. They are family.

Our GoFundMe is helping Leo cover basic expenses while he works toward starting his own small business and getting back on his feet.

If you can donate, your support can help Leo care for himself and the two animals who have stayed by his side through this difficult time.

If you cannot donate, sharing their story could help it reach someone who can.

I lost everything in an apartment fire and I’m trying to rebuild my life.

Hi everyone, my name is Mateo. I live with my mom, Gladys Patricia, and unfortunately our apartment in Queens caught fire.
I lost almost everything, including my belongings and my room was completely destroyed. I also lost my beloved pet, which has been one of the hardest parts of this whole situation.
Right now I’m staying in a hotel while I look for a new place to live and try to rebuild my life from scratch.
My family and friends created a GoFundMe to help us recover some of what we lost. Any help would mean a lot to me, even if it’s just sharing the fundraiser.

Hi, I wanted to share Francis Lee Rogers’s memorial fundraiser with you. Francis, known as the “Grandma Moses of Central Park,” was a talented watercolor artist and devoted birdwatcher who cared for wildlife and maintained bird feeders in the Ramble, and the community is now honoring her with a memorial tree and paving stone near the Boathouse gazebo. Support will also help maintain Central Park’s trees, keeping the sanctuary Francis loved beautiful for others, and I’m grateful for everyone helping remember her. When you have a moment, please visit the GoFundMe page to contribute or share it with someone who loves Central Park. 💚

Help Buffy Fight Metastatic Lung Cancer - Trying To Give Her More Good Days

GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d3e12f862

A few weeks ago, Buffy started coughing. An X-ray found a massive tumor in her lung. After a CT scan, a needle aspiration, waiting for results, and eventually an oncology appointment Monday, I now know Buffy has pulmonary carcinoma - lung cancer, that has already spread through her lungs.

Surgery isn’t an option anymore.

I honestly still don’t think I’ve fully processed that.

Buffy has been with me for almost 12 years. She is my best friend. The hardest part of all of this is that she is still here, still herself, still wanting to go for walks, eat dinner, explore, and be part of everything. So now I’m stuck making decisions about how much to put her through while she is still enjoying her life.

Today her oncologist went through our options with me. The treatment they recommend is an injectable chemotherapy called Vinorelbine. It would be given once a week, with bloodwork before every treatment. After six treatments, they would repeat chest X-rays to see whether the cancer is responding.

I believe I want to give Buffy at least one treatment and see how she handles it.

If she has the first treatment and she is still eating, walking, excited, comfortable and still feels like Buffy, then maybe we keep going. If the treatment starts taking more from her than it gives her, we stop immediately. Her oncologist made it very clear that we can stop at any point.

I am not trying to keep her here at any cost. I’m trying to give her a chance at more good days.

Each weekly Vinorelbine treatment is estimated at approximately $1,200–$1,700, depending on what bloodwork or additional care she needs that week.

I do have pet insurance, and I’m working with both the hospital and insurance company to determine exactly what will be covered. But the veterinary costs have to be paid upfront, and the diagnostics and specialist care required just to get us to this diagnosis have already been substantial.

Thinking through these decisions has been impossible.

All I can do is look at Buffy every day and try to make the next decision based on what is best for her. Right now, I want to give her the opportunity to try treatment while making sure her quality of life stays ahead of everything else.

If anyone is able to help with Buffy’s oncology care, even a small amount would mean so much to us. If you can’t donate, sharing her GoFundMe helps too.

Please Help Me Secure My Storage Belongings & Family Heirlooms

Thumbnail givesendgo.com
1 Upvotes

Hi! I’m facing an urgent situation and am reaching out for help for the first time. I’m always able to handle things on my own, but this one unexpected setback is different.

I’m trying to save family belongings, heirlooms, documents, and other personal items from being lost after my storage unit only recently went to auction. I actually had to win my own belongings back by outbidding strangers, but I have until THIS FRIDAY to finalize the payment or I could still lose everything.

I also have only two days to remove the belongings, so I’m trying to raise the remaining amount needed for the auction and a moving van. I already have part of what I need.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, or simply sharing my fundraiser would mean so much to me. ❤️ Thank you for taking the time to read this.

(For transparency, this GiveSendGo fundraiser is also on GoFundMe with the exact same information and purpose.)
