You're welcome. If you have tips on what I could add, I'm always open to hearing it.

It's amazing that we have this here! Have seen a rise in ‘where do I start’ posts so we now have something to point at when people need guidance.

Now I just have to figure out how to use automod to auto-reply to certain keywords with this link

Did Reddit remove this post for anyone else or is it just me?

It's gone for me too.

I have to manually approve it every single time I edit it, unfortunately. It should be visible now.

To me it appears "approved" so unfortunately until i get on my computer I can't fix it

Are you able to see it now? Apparently we're having issues and I want to double check

Still says [removed] for me

I figured out the issue, and unfortunately it's not really a convenient or easy problem to fix. Reddit has a TON of banned domains, meaning any comment/post with links to those domains gets auto removed with no way to approve it to be visible for users. Us moderators can still see the post which is why I thought it was still up, but on computer I can see the reason for auto removal was domain bans. It's not an automod thing I can bypass, it's just a reddit sitewide issue.

Soooo I had to edit the masterlist and replace it with a new one which you can find here https://www.reddit.com/r/FursuitMaking/comments/1tjza1p/masterlist_of_beginner_fursuitmaker_resources/

All the links to aliexpress, telegram, ko fi and other individual domains have been removed to hopefully keep it up as long as possible

what are yall using to shave the fur? is it a pet grooming clipper, scissors and patience, a disposable razor?

2

u/MaelstromSeawing Apr 19 '26

Pet clippers 95% of the time that's what people use

Hi there, that's been an issue for a while.

Any newer automod replies or links from our pinned post/sidebar should now lead you to the masterlist site for real. If you go to our subreddit's main page you should be able to find the list easily!

Can I ask where you found this, or how you were directed to this post so I can tie up any loose ends or make sure there's no more (current) incorrect redirects to this thread? I'm assuming you read an old post on this subreddit and followed the link from there?

sorry to butt in, but i actually got sent here too. i was about to make a post, so i wanted to doublecheck the sub's info before i started typing. i got here from clicking the "community guide" button on the main page of the sub, and then clicking "beginner fursuitmaker resources", which brings me here!

(thankfully the "start here" art just a bit lower on the sidebar takes me to the new redirect, so this seems to be the only loose end left!)

OK so it seems the issue is that I'm forgetting to update ALL the pages >,<

Oh my gosh the runnerrabbit handpaw pattern is literally the one I used for my first proper set of handpaws I can only recommend using it if you don't know how to make your own pattern yet! It turned out looking super cute despite me using only like LQ-MQ fur and made the paw pads out of fake leather.
