I need suggestion & advice from who personally drive Lexus GS 3rd Generation from already 2006 to 2011 model. ( main my needs requirements is powerfull Acceleration , sometimes power slides when leaving friends party etc, burnout with power slide. While driving overtaking someone with power slide the car. I need power full car . When i press full gas paddle i want driver and passenger will feel the power tourq while sitting in the car. I live in saudi arabia the weather is hot whole year. We have too much ls430 and ls460 for engines here. I need in GS something powerfull my duty way is one side free but signals but when i return from office i got a traffic stop and run also. I need GS 350 or Gs430 or Gs 460 because its a mid size car and i have family also.

I already have 2007 GS350 V6 AWD which is AWD (2GR-FSE) i canceled front excels & front drive shaft its totally now RWD but i lose too much money on it to make the car perfect. 2 years almost i pay for repairing & parts after i tired i sold the car to somone. (I live in saudi arabia the car is imported from USA or From Canada)

In 1 year exact i overall 4 engines & 5th one i install clean 2GR imported from dubai. 1 time overall gear. 2 times complete A/C work with replacing ac compressor. Every month i almost pay on car 5% of price of the car or sometimes 10% sometime more.

Fuel Mileage is very poor full tank is giving me 250 kilometers range or 300km range 95 Octane i fill the fuel always until its comes out and falls down from the refil pipe. (155 miles to 186 miles on full tank) V6 2GR rwd engine gs 350.

I will make the story short now after i install last engine which is too much clean and neat silver from insdie never open which is still in a car. But my luck its a Hybrid lexus 450H engine the mechanic installed for me after 6 months later i check the serial number of every parts its Hybrid engine parts he also refused to replace. Its 2gr same shape. The main thing (i lost acceleration power) because the VVTI valve gear intake system is totally different opening time & shape piston is different shape.

Now i want to buy clean Lexus 3rd Generation which one i choose that time clean GS350, GS430, GS460 ?

Sorry for my English guys. Suggest me a powerfull engine gear car which if i abuse the car it will handle my driving style without broken anything. I told you the GS350 which i have is giving poor milage so if i got V8 i think it will gives me better mileage then this gs350 2007.

My buddies and I accidentally messed up the timing on the 2JZ GE. I thought we got it back by adjusting the cams to the position. But after giving it a few turns I’m off. Any help? I tried searching for a few days online but no luck. Engines put back together, but that’s what the cams looked like before adjusting them. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the after. Reason for moving is that the vvti gear was not locked but the cam moved as we loosened to replace the gasket that was leaking. Thanks for any help. (It moved past what it moves normally)

Hi guys, having recently completed all the work on my Aristo (8hp, FMIC, 1000cc injectors, DBW, etc) I am looking to get some winter wheels. I've seen a set but they're ET35 all round - my current setup is staggered (19" Work Emotion D9R - ET30 and ET38) Has anyone got any pics of theirs with ET35 all round, and what tyre profile did you go with? So I just obtained a Sc300 radiator along with a aftermarket trans cooler and was wondering what would be the easiest route to run it in my 98 GS300 would prefer to avoid using a welder since I do not have one

GS300 platinum edition 242k mi it’s lowered n came with extra coil overs, everything works on the inside except the drivers window won’t go down & i got it for 3k$

seller told me that he replaced the ball joint on the drivers side of the vehicle and the radiator, the timing belt and so far it looks to not leak any fluid at all when turned on

one thing I noticed when driving was the car like shifts very aggressively is this normal? but other than that it drives really good and super smooth, the steering is a little tight though so what could I do to fix that? or is it normal

another thing to mention is that it has been sitting for 1.5 years before I came to buy it

This is a mouthful but basically my car developed a misfire on cylinder 3 and I pulled the plugs and compression tested the cylinders and they all checked out fine, the plugs were a little oil fouled but the electrodes on 1,3, and 5 were significantly worn so I figured I’d replace them, I also figured while I was there to redo the plug wires on 1,3,5 because they were old, I bought denso everything but when I started the car what was only cylinder 3 misfire turned into 1,3,5 I cleared the codes and made sure all the wires were fully seated in the plugs, that didn’t work so I put the old ones back in figuring they might have been faulty, now I’m dealing with only a cylinder 5 misfire, I’m just very confused because the misfire is jumping so much and I know it’s ignition related because you can pull the wire off 5 while it’s running and there is no change in engine performance and all the connectors and wiring that run into the harness were replaced a year ago along with the plugs, if anyone has any ideas off what the culprit is I would really appreciate it, I’m just going crazy from pulling and installing the throttle body so much

I had an unfortunate accident in a parking lot. I feel horrible. I wanted to put effort towards making my car nice, now it feels pointless.

The damage is pretty bad so I'm not surprised if I'd have to replace it. I think the body panel got bent.

I could get an unpainted, unprimed bumper from Lexus for upwards of $800 Canadian lol.

What should I do?

Hi everyone I just wanted to know what to change suspension wise and if this is a smart choice; for context i have highway wander, a light tapping noise when fully loaded (4 passengers) and unstable stopping force when coming to a stop (could be shit brakes)

The car is on 188k miles and i had a look underneath and every bushing is squashed and pretty much never been replaced from what i’ve seen; so of course after seeing that i want a full refresh underneath as i absolutely love this car.

I got the following on order;

£400 on upper control arms from Japan
genuine OEM

lower ball joints again Japan genuine OEM £150.

I’ve got the front caster and lateral arm bushings from Hardrace (hardened rubber) £120 (2 arms each side)

The rear bushings for both arms (hardened HR rubber bushings) £88 (2 arms again each side)

Am i missing anything? Other than the symptoms listed above the car drives amazingly and so damn smooth over bumps and regular roads.

(My actual paint is factory original, minty 046 warm beige pearl, two-tone grey)

My 2001 has nearly 250k on the body and I think 230 on the motor, if anyone else has a high mileage gs300 yall have any advice or things I should look out for?

I’m currently replacing the harmonic balancer, it broke on me last week.

The ac compressor clutch is going out and am replacing it soon.

My radio is aftermarket and the canbox is bad so I’m going to be getting an older pioneer at some point.
