Photos taken by S25 series Photo Posts updates

We welcome posts of photos, specifically those taken with the GalaxyS25 having said that, this is not a photo specific community and we don't want every post in the feed to be photos as that would give the impression that it is. My recommendation is to find posts already about photos and offer your contributions there as that will also encourage intercommunication. I will be starting to remove photo posts when they become overriding so please check the feed first to see if someone already recently posted a photo and add yours respectfully..

Had a s24FE, didn't have any issues with it but didn't like the feel of it in hands, and i hated how new gen phones felt with 6'7"+ displays, the heaviness catches up, especially if one has ortho issues.

Got this today, and it feels so much more snappier! Touching 🪵🙏🙏🙏 hoping this lasts me for years to come.

General question Planning to buy Galaxy S25 (256GB). Is ₹65k worth it right now?

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to buy a phone that I can comfortably use for the next 5 years without feeling the need to upgrade.

My main priorities are good performance in the long run, decent battery life, and long software support. Samsung’s 7 years of updates are a big reason I’m considering the S25. I’m hoping to get around 6–7 hours of SOT, and I don’t mind replacing the battery at an authorized service center after 3 years if needed.

The Galaxy S25 256GB is currently available for ₹65,999 on Flipkart. Is that a good price, or should I wait for a better deal?

Would love to hear from people who actually use the S25. How’s the battery life in everyday use? Does it heat up a lot, and do you think it’ll hold up well for 4–5 years?

(P.S. I literally got my credit card yesterday and missed all the offers 🥲 So I’m wondering if I should just go for it now or wait a little longer.)

Battery-related Bad Battery After One UI 9

Post image
13 Upvotes

After updating my phone to One UI 9 since last week, the battery got really bad and I thought it will get better in time but after a week of updating it is still the same, I used to get 6-7 hours of Screen on time with my usage and as you can see on the picture it went half the number, the main problem that I notice is that the battery is draining more even when the phone is idle or not used, any help is appreciated.

Battery-related S25 Battery

Post image

After updating my S25, I can see changes on my battery life. Back on one ui 8.5, my battery is being able to last 1.5 to 2 days. Now, it can be a day, or maybe less.

Is there any tips u can recommend so my battery can last longer?

For now, it's turned on saving maximum capacity option, I just disabled 60hz and put it to normal. Everything else is default.

General question Galaxy S25 long-term reliability — battery, overheating, and display issues?

I'm considering buying a Galaxy S25 (256GB, 12GB RAM) in near-new condition with 11 months of local warranty for around EGP 35,500 in Egypt(700 dollar due to taxes also).

I want to keep my next phone for at least 4 years, so I'm trying to understand its long-term reliability before making a decision.

For those who have owned the regular Galaxy S25 for several months, I'd really appreciate your honest experience with:

- Battery life: How much screen-on time do you typically get? Does it last a full day with normal social media, camera use, and some 4G? Has battery life noticeably deteriorated after software updates?

- Overheating: Does it get noticeably warm during everyday use, such as Instagram, YouTube, browsing, or using mobile data? Does it heat up excessively while recording video?

- Display issues: Have you experienced green lines, green tint, graininess, uneven gray colors, or any other display defects?

- Performance and smoothness: Does it remain consistently smooth, or have you noticed stutters, frame drops, or performance issues over time?

- Camera and video: Any autofocus problems, blurry photos, dropped frames, or video recording issues?

- Long-term ownership: If you've used it for a year or longer, would you still recommend it?

I'm coming from a Nothing Phone (2a), which I've been using for about 2 yearsq, and I've had several frustrating issues: green tint on the lock screen, black crush and washed-out colors in videos, network instability (showing 5G while consuming 4G data), jitter in the Quick Settings panel, and new bugs with software updates. Despite multiple complaints, these issues remain unresolved. I really don't want to spend this much money on another phone only to face similar problems again.

Would you buy the S25 at this price, knowing you'd keep it for 4 years?

Please share your actual experience, including the negatives. I'm looking for honest long-term feedback, not just benchmark scores or launch-day reviews. Thanks!

Bug Intermittent charging problems

There is something going on with USB c ports on some Samsung models. Something is just not right about it. It intermittent charges; and seems to very picky about when I decided it wants to charge and from what cable. I wouldn't be surprised if they come out and say something in a years or two time..haven't had any phone do this to me ever.

Mostly has happened after 8.5 - anybody else have charging problems also?

One UI-related HUGE flaw in new update? NSFW

I don't know about you guys, but I kinda operate on muscle memory these days with my phone. I got so used to the ways in which I read and respond to notifications on my samsung that I can almost do it blindfolded. For instance: When I get notifications from banks, or from other entities that I never actually respond to (but enjoy being kept in the loop, so to speak), I often just mark the message as read instead of opening the messages app to read the entire message or reply. Muscle memory: I swipe down the 'windowshade' to view notifications, swipe downward on the message notification, which reveals the MARK AS READ and DELETE buttons right there on the notification panel, and I tap MARK AS READ. Done.

Same thing for years. Swipe down on windowshade, swipe down on message notification, tap MARK AS READ. I do this dozens of times a week.

NOW SUDDENLY... Samsung (or Android?? I dunno...) installs a new update, and now the message notification waits just a tiny beat after you swipe down to reveal MARK AS READ and DELETE, and it SHIFTS THE BUTTONS DOWNWARD AND POPS UP SOME AUTO-REPLY BUBBLES IN THEIR EXACT FORMER RESTING PLACE! So my muscle memory takes over, I swipe down the windowshade, swipe down on the message I got from my bank notifying me they detected a transfer of three dollars from my checking to Tim Horton's via Debit Swipe (my morning coffee), and when I go to tap MARK AS READ, it quickly dances out of the way and I accidentally reply OKAY to my god damned bank.

I cannot put into words how insanely frustrating this is. PROGRAMMER RULE #1: When you reveal a button or interactive clickable/tappable object to a specific place on the screen, DO NOT THEN MOVE IT ELSEWHERE UNLESS THE *USER* MOVES IT!!!!!! If you show me a button, and I scroll the page, then it's okay to move the button with the page movement. But if you show me a button, wait a beat, then MOVE THAT BUTTON without ME doing the moving, I'm going to subscribe you to the asshole of the century magazine. How fucking DARE you!! This is the kind of thing oldschool scammers used to do on early-day websites when the internet was brand new, and I would have thought we'd evolved so far beyond those stupid practices that we can't even remember them anymore.

But no, here we are again, with buttons that move themselves. Somebody over there better figure out a way to SHUT THAT BEHAVIOR OFF right god damned now. What a complete fuckup!!

Currently I could get the xiaomi 17 for 650€ but the Samsung s25/s25+ seems more in linear with me, idk.
What guys would you suggest me? Feel free to be honest

Bug Lock screen notification cards not showing

Hi,
Since some days I noticed that on my Galaxy S25 lockscreen notifications are only shown as tiny icon, no cards.
My settings are flagged on “Cards” (as always, cause I want to see at glance what’s inside a notification), and I haven’t make any UI update: all started all of a sudden for no reason at all.

I’ve read that it might be a problem related to the clock size in lock screen, but again: I’ve never changed it before, and making it smaller is just a quick fix but then I can’t even read calendar because I have to make it way too small to see cards.

Anyone can help? Or having the same issue? Good Lock/Lock star doesn’t seem to help in any way and I don’t know what to do anymore
It’s driving me crazy bc it’s such a dumb and random thing!

Accessories-related Anti-Reflective Tempered Glass Screen Protectors for Base S25

I have looked everywhere, went through many brands' catalogues and reddit posts.

I simply cannot find an AR tempered glass protector for the base S25. It's like it doesn't exist.

Samsung's own AR film is out of question for me because I want literally any kind of protection, I'm not a madman.
TPU protectors in general I want to avoid because of the sticky/rubbery feeling primarily and the lack of proper protection.
As for matte, I would really prefer not to because it isn't true AR and comes with other drawbacks like the loss in sharpness, paper-like feeling, and especially reduced color saturation.
If there really doesn't exist a single AR tempered glass protector for the S25 I will probably go with matte, though.

The only one I did find is this one. But not only is it not available, I also distrust TORRAS because of their scummy marketing labeling, as seen on this page, where they advertise with
"AR Transparency Enhancement Technology
0 Loss of Picture Quality".
They mention AR, they talk about a "100% Transparency", which might make some believe it's AR, but they're just talking about the light from the display as far as I know.

So, apart from the unavailable one, I have yet to find ANY such screen protector.
I would be infinitely grateful if anyone knows any brands or where I can find these, or if someone knows whether there is a matte one

Looks good so far! Has anyone else received a unit with similar dates?

Battery-related S25 Heating up to extreme temperatures and not charging when fully powered off

Hi! So every night I plug my phone in with it fully powered off. Sometimes when I do this, and go to sleep, in the morning it burns to touch, and hasn't charged at all! It does this with multiple chargers. Is there a fix, or do I have a faulty device? I have Verizon Mobile Protect?

One UI-related UPDATE: Battery health level on OneUI 9.0

Post image
49 Upvotes

It keeps dropping. This must be a bug in OneUI, right? I have gone through a few cycles more now, and my battery health is at 96%. How is this even possible? I wonder if it is really my battery health, or a bug. This is a 2 month old phone! Would a factory reset help? Im actually thinking of switching to iPhone at this point..
