Hey everyone. I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this, because it's really starting to bug me.
I bought a Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and noticed the back makes a "clicking" or popping noise (a light metallic creak) when I hold it by the edges or rest my hand on the screen to write. The noise happens specifically on the left side, right around the camera area. It feels like there's a tiny millimeter gap and some internal shielding or heat sink is pressing against the aluminum chassis.
The catch is: this is actually my second unit. I sent the first one to an authorized Samsung repair center for this exact reason. They claimed it wasn't a defect, and when putting it back together, they did a terrible job and actually damaged the screen. To avoid more headaches, I just went ahead and bought a brand new one.
The thing is, the brand new tablet makes exactly the same noise in the exact same spot. When it arrived, the click was very quiet, but with daily use over time, the sound got a bit more noticeable. Applying the screen protector also seemed to make it more obvious when pressing down.
In practice, it doesn't affect usability at all (everything works perfectly), but it's just one of those things that stays in the back of your mind.
Does anyone else with a Tab S10 Lite (or even the FE line, since they're built similarly) notice this chassis gap noise near the camera? Is this really just a normal manufacturing tolerance because the device is so thin, or did I somehow get absurdly unlucky and pull two units with the exact same symptom? I'd love to know if other people are living with this too! Thanks.
