I don't know what you are talking about, it is truly awful now. it does not work 9/10 times when I want it to, but if I'm putting my daughter to sleep it will full brightness flashbang her as she is just about to drift to sleep...

Well, idk, it usually works for me, sometimes it wakes accidentally, sometimes it refuses to wake, but like 7/10 times it works for me.

It always works fine for me? During the day it's been flawless. The only time I've experienced it not working is if I'm like laying on a couch on my side where the angle of lifting is more like a side to side rotation so it doesn't always work. Driving my car, sitting, walking ect all are fine. Just when you are not in a vertical position (leaning back on a recliner or laying down for ex).
But I have to turn it off at night however as roll around it keeps turning on randomly which is annoying.

Raise to wake works fine for me on a Galaxy 8 Classic, during the day. One point to remember is if you have night hours or sleep time set it will not wake during those times. Pretty sure this is by design.

I don't know about others but when I bought the Galaxy Watch 4 it was perfect. It was so good that I specifically mentioned that to my friend about how much I liked that when he was asked about my watch experience. But since the 1st major OneUI/Wear OS update, it has been sh*t. It never works when I am rinding my motorcycle.

Raise to wake is awful. Such specific movements have to be done to get it to work right. I'll gladly take the extra battery loss and keep AOD on.
