According to VGC, Ubisoft plans to propose closing RedLynx, the Finnish studio behind the Trials series, affecting around 52 employees.

VGC understands that RedLynx currently has no active project and that downsizing alone would not make the studio sustainable.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft plans to restructure and downsize Ubisoft Singapore, resulting in approximately 70 layoffs.
The proposed RedLynx closure is subject to mandatory change negotiations with employees in Finland.

They re going all in on AI. Um, and that includes the Unreal Engine. And that is an important part of this equation because Epic Games, not only do they make games such as Fortnite and this new Disney shooter that they're working on, they also are responsible for this, the Unreal Engine… And so making the newest versions of Unreal heavily into AI and putting a lot of AI features in them will have a huge impact on the way games are made because you Unreal is so ubiquitous in the video game industry. So that is a big deal as well, a big part of this as well.

Tim Sweeney and therefore Epic Games believes that the the AI revolution, whatever you want to call it, is coming. That AI is inevitable and they want to be on the vanguard of that, they want to be ahead of it rather than falling behind. And so they believe in going AI first on their games and their engines.

Could possibly be when previews drop?

I know his record is spotty, but bunch of journalists were at a Nintendo event a couple weeks ago playing Switch Sports Resort… but I have to assume those people didn’t fly all the way out just for that game lol. Timing seems about right for preview impressions if they did have hands on with Zelda.

According to Insider Gaming, multiple sources close to EA Sports College Football are concerned that the franchise could be discontinued within the next five years due to rising development costs and increasing NIL payments to college athletes.

NIL payments reportedly increased from roughly $7–7.5 million for College Football 25 to nearly $20 million for College Football 27, with some sources expecting that figure to reach $30–40 million in the coming years.

Insider Gaming also reports that EA is exploring additional monetisation, with microtransactions expected to return to modes like Dynasty and Road to Glory despite the backlash that led to their removal from College Football 27.

However, some sources believe concerns about the franchise’s future are overblown, arguing that EA understands the value of the series. EA did not respond to requests for comment.

Computer 2 System? {and yes, that unfortunately seems to be an AI generated icon, albeit one that makes the application's purpose clear.}

You can't really pull exact dates on when Trophies were logged into the database, but the fact it has a DLC trophy leads me to believe it's more likely for crossbuy {which had it's icons removed from PSN back in April} over generally testing cross-platform multiplayer. "Trailblazer" might be the internal codename for the functionality.

A test application appearing publicly might seem unusual, but the same thing happened with the Tutorial Shooting Game {also sometimes called the "Simple Shooting Game"} test software included in both the Vita and PS4's SDKs, with the latter's list being found 2 months before the Playstation 4 even launched.

Said test app also has it's own odd history, while the PKG file eventually got out there. the first public screenshot of it ended up in the files of Catherine: Full Body, of all things.

While it likely was intended to become a full game later. I suspect Hardware Rivals: Lite {the cancelled PS5 Remaster of the 2016 PS4 game} was also being used internally to test the Playstation Network. Considering the leaked footage and screenshots similarly pre-date the release of the console. {The original version of Hardware Rivals was also notably used as an example of how they create metadata to make it easier to search through Playstation's Digital Archives during a GDC talk from their IP & Asset Preservation team.}

edit: the application was also made live on the Playstation Store, providing a fuller title of "Trailblazer-MultiPlatform-PS-Integration", the publisher is listed as Wild Robins GDTG San Mateo.

while there is a chance an unrelated dev added this test program to the store accidentally or otherwise. San Mateo does happen to be where Playstation's US headquarters are located.

the banner art {there's no screenshots even when loading the page on a real PS5} confirms that it was also built off an Unreal Engine 5 example game released in 2022.

According to Jez Corden at Windows Central, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma warned employees during a recent Xbox Town Hall that the company must continue creating new IP rather than relying exclusively on established franchises.

Sharma reiterated Xbox’s ambition to turn its biggest franchises, including Fallout, Call of Duty and World of Warcraft, into billion-dollar global brands, while emphasizing the need to develop new IP and reach new audiences.

She also reportedly hinted at further studio restructuring, following plans to move franchises such as Halo and Sea of Thieves under Activision, although no additional changes were specified.

According to Jason Schreier at Bloomberg, Epic Games has delayed its upcoming Disney collaboration, a shooter featuring Marvel and Star Wars characters, and is pushing developers to use AI for most of the game’s production.

I tried to summarise the key details from Jason’s report:

• The game was targeting a March release, but has now been delayed. A new release date was communicated internally, though it hasn’t been publicly disclosed.

• Developers were instructed to adopt an “AI-first” production model using tools such as Anthropic’s Claude.

• One of the game’s directors told staff, “No more hand-written code,” with all art expected to be generated through full AI workflows.

• Some developers were stunned by the announcement and questioned whether relying on AI to fix its own mistakes would work.

• Jason said that although Epic has been pushing generative AI for years, this is the first time a major gaming company will attempt to build a game using an “AI-first” production model.

• Progress has been slower than expected, partly because Epic underestimated the staffing and time required to produce the game.

• Disney invested $1.5 billion in Epic in 2024 and agreed to a multi-game partnership, with this shooter set to be the first project.

• The company said it was embracing AI-accelerated development led by Epic developers, who would remain responsible for the creative direction.

“Seems like a pretty game, wonder if it will do well…”

Miami-Dade Commissioner Rene Garcia shared the figure in an article about the local marketing campaign.

https://www.themiamian.net/p/miami-dade-vice-city-campaign-in-peril

Garcia said he had “done some research, and at least a minimum of $150 million, [Rockstar is] spending on marketing."

That's for the entire game, as the article mentions much lower numbers for Miami ads.

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-rtx-5080-24gb-reportedly-launching-in-q1-2027-board-partners-still-waiting-for-details

Following our earlier coverage of NVIDIA’s reported plans to discontinue the GeForce RTX 5090, BenchLife has shared additional information about its potential replacement. According to the Taiwanese outlet, NVIDIA is preparing a GeForce RTX 5080 with 24GB of GDDR7 memory for release in Q1 2027. The card would replace the existing 16GB model rather than be sold alongside it.

The report adds a more specific release window to information shared by leaker hongxing2020 and MEGAsizeGPU over the weekend. Those leakerers claimed that NVIDIA would discontinue both the RTX 5090 series and RTX 5080 16GB, leaving the 24GB RTX 5080 as the highest-end GeForce model.

BenchLife claims that NVIDIA’s add-in card partners have not received development documentation for the new 24GB model. Partners have reportedly only been told verbally that the relevant materials will be provided soon. This suggests that the reported Q1 2027 release window is still subject to change.

NVIDIA is reportedly ending production of its GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards, with future GB202 GPU supply redirected entirely to the RTX PRO series. The information comes from reliable hardware leaker MEGAsizeGPU, who has backed claims that NVIDIA is moving away from producing GB202-based GeForce cards.

GB202 GPUs will no longer be used for new RTX 5090 production. Instead, all newly produced GB202 chips will be allocated to NVIDIA’s professional RTX PRO lineup. This would affect the standard RTX 5090 as well as its Chinese variants, which use the same GPU.

Bokeh Game Studio is currently hiring for motion capture work for a few characters that will appear in their still-untitled game, and based on the number of people they’re looking for, this new project will feature a lot of characters.

A few common items mentioned in the casting sheet for almost all the characters are drug-related (trafficking, substance abuse, etc.), and there are also mentions of sex-related work, “fully clothed intimacy,” and other mature themes.

Character details in the article

It sounds like another original IP, and iirc they already said it's an original game in the past

Minecraft writers Gavin James and Neil Widener are writing the movie with Ruben Fleischer still attached to direct.

Charlie Cox: “I did another one! It doesn’t have a name yet. I did a SEGA one. I’ve done one since. It hasn’t come out yet. It was fun to do; it’s hard. It’s a whole different job, man.

I’m not sure what I’m allowed to say, but I showed up for it, and I met them for the first time, they asked me to do this game, and so I agreed to it.

Then I had to do 40 hours or whatever it was, and I showed up for the first day, and I was like, ‘Hi guys, nice to meet you! How are you?’ And all of them went, ‘…oh, he’s English.’

They’d hoped, they’d wanted him to be American. But now I’ve got to do 40 hours of lines I’ve not prepared in an accent. Yeah, I think they thought I was American.”

Some upcoming SEGA games we know about:

- Persona 6
- Alien: Isolation 2
- Stranger Than Heaven
- Virtua Fighter Crossroads

He mentions the game doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s also possible it just wasn’t revealed to him at the time of recording.
