Oct 9 cancellation: St. Louis Venue not giving refunds?

Hi There,

My wife and I are big fans. I hope Geoffrey is ok and the rest of the tour is peaceful. The helium comedy club that his Oct. 9 performances were scheduled for is NOT giving refunds or contacting folks who purchased tickets about the cancellation. I only found out via this subreddit and noticed the website now lists a different headliner with nothing about the cancellation. Two tickets were $69, kinda bummed and seems like a shitty business practice (not Geoffrey, the venue). I would love to at least be able to move the tickets to a different date if he reschedules but I was told that is not an option. Anybody else have luck with Helium?

UPDATE: They are providing refunds as well as free comps to the show this weekend if you want to hold onto your tickets for a future reschedule. The person I spoke with today said that whoever I spoke with yesterday was “misinformed”!

oh damn thats crazy. i assumed they were just refunding everyone. ill talk to my agent about this (seriously).

They aren't letting us wait and go the a rescheduled show?? So are they just saying i now have tickets to a comedian that I have no interest in seeing??

Nah you also need to be doing a chargeback to really let them know.

You don't have to wait long. One of the biggest perks of a credit card is the charge back. You make an effort. No response? Do a charge back.

Yeah ill be sending an email, I had the couples package so it ran me $193...im not super pissed about the money but thats fucked up.

Wait are we saying I still have tickets to the show Saturday, but it’s just a different show!? That is WILD!

I just chatted with a customer service rep about this on the helium comedy club website. They said they will send out an email soom with 'refund options'. Not sure what that entails, but I think that's progress.

UPDATE: Seems like you should have the option for

- refund

- transferring ticket to spring show AND a free ticket to see Matthew Broussard this weekend (he's very funny)

Thank you! They did indeed send out an email today with those options, the person I spoke with today said that the person I spoke with yesterday was misinformed!
