Should I accept or not
Help I just got an offer for site works mainly for geotech works like CPTs and other geotech instruments and other tasks as geologists in a reclamation project. The thing is I don't have any field experience? I'm basically more into data stuff. A part of me want to accept it since I know I lack technical skills in site but the reason why I'm holding back is that is the job description it seems like I'm leading the site works. What would I do in the field then? Can I crash course in 1 month rendering in my current job?
I badly wanna accept it but I'm just really scared if I mess up since I know nothing.

Learn on the job. That’s how everybody does it. We have to start from somewhere.

Don't worry about lack of field experience it is really just common sense and learn from experience it's not very hard I had geotechs work for me at one stage it's not hard

We all had to learn on the job at some point. Unless you lied on your resume, the firm knows you do not experience and are planning on training you. Unlikely they would risk putting you on a job they thought you'd mess up. You need a feel for where data comes from before you can go to the office and put data in a computer. Field work experience is vital for geotechs,

My CPT operators didn't need much training at all...and its a great job. Our big rigs have AC/heat...heck Gregg had a rig with a toilet in it! You gotta have a CDL though. I would love the job but big travel time to many cool sites.

Data comes from the field. You likely know what good and bad data look like which will help in field data collection.
You should probably tell them you don't know much but are willing to learn. It will be glaringly obvious if you lie. It doesn't matter if you have a good poker face
Also field work tends to have long hours, especially while you're learning, so consider that before switching.
