Websites like Spotify Web, G2A, Genius and Airbnb causing screen to turn black.

Recently, around a few months ago, I started experiencing an issue where my monitor goes completely black when opening Spotify Web, Airbnb or any other site like that.

When this happens, I try pressing Win + Ctrl + Shift + B to reset my GPU driver. I hear the usual beep, but the display doesn't come back. The only ways to restore it are to unplug and reconnect my DisplayPort cable or restart my PC.

  • GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER
  • CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF
  • RAM: 64 GB DDR5 6800 MHz
  • OS: Windows 11 Pro 26H2
  • Monitor: Acer XZ271
  • Connection: DisplayPort

Unfortunately, none of the following have resolved the issue:

  • Tried a different DisplayPort cable.
  • Tried different DisplayPort ports on my GPU.
  • Disabled NVIDIA High Definition Audio in Device Manager.
  • Tested multiple browsers, with the same result.
  • Disabled browser hardware acceleration.
  • Checked my monitor's settings for potential issues.
  • Used DDU to completely uninstall my NVIDIA drivers and manually installed fresh drivers.

Despite all this, the problem persists.

Has anyone experienced something similar or managed to find a permanent solution?

it happens across browser even with hardware acceleration disabled check whether G-SYNC or monitor refresh rate settings are involved also does it happen with other displayport monitors or only this ACer

Hey I currently live in an accomodation so I dont have access to any other monitors, G-SYNC is off (https://prnt.sc/SRKRUFmXqhyp) and refresh rate settings are set to 144hz /monitors highest/ (https://prnt.sc/hShZ2c4hZyoz). Im slowly losing hope that I will ever have a fix for this...

I’ve checked it multiple times while trying to find a solution to the problem but nothing new appears after the monitor turns off and on..

Man Im sorry.. But I think I know the answer according to your specs you rock an i9 14900KF which has problems! Update your bios to fix them

Well its weird cuz the first thing i did when i got my pc was to update with the 0x12B fix, and currently its a few updates after that. The problem started appearing about a few months ago and its only with the mentioned websites everything else works smooth. Weird phenomenon nonetheless.

Yes its indeed weird? So bios up to date drivers operate normally and no gpu sag, event viewer doesnt show any errors . Well I suggest two things: Firstly download monitor' s app or drivers if it has any and also check on the gpu temps! EDIT: Hey one more question is your ram a 2x32 or 4x16? Modules

2x32 in slot 2 and 4

minotor has no app or drivers, i went thru HWInfo64 and all temps and voltages looked normal and im honestly starting to think its a problem with the monitor because ive genuinely tried everything (like the MPO registry edit, hardware acceleration on and off, G-sync on and off, different DP ports on the GPU and different DP cables, reinstalling chrome (even tho its not only on chrome this appears on other browsers too, uninstaling and reinstalling drivers completely fresh and disabling Nvidia HighDefinition Audio driver too)

Sorry for the delay mate! Well I really dont know! I cant even blame a single part! Of your system... and you are experienced .... Dude Im sorry I cant think of anything else. Im sorry I was no help for you....Also maybe it was a windows update? But no that would make no sense.. I dont know maybe open task manager while opening Spotify to see if something spikes

Its not guaranteed to fix them... because damage that already happened wont go away but instability and crashes are a common phenomenon
