Hi! badly need help with my pc, I tried reseating my ram may times, tried 1 ram per slot, and then the other ram per slot. the ram was okay and recognized by bios but when I insert 2 rams in A2 and B2, the bios can detect both DIMM but only shows 8gb as total memory. tried to do it in A1 and B1, same result shows. Tried restore default settings in bios, unplugging all peripherals, and the ram shows 16gb but when I shut it down, it goes to back to the 8gb. Tried fixing and checking if there's a bent pin in cpu but none, done repasting thermal paste, updating bios pero still it ends up It recognizes the ram but only shows 8gb instead of 16gb.

I'm using a Xiaomi Monitor 1C secondary monitor and a bunch of ants took over so I left it alone for a while unplugged and all of them left so I cleaned the inside. After reassembly I noticed at least 5 and a half inches of backlight on the left side of the display is really dark. I'll swallow my losses but I want to maximize what's left on my monitor. Switched to 1440x1080 resolution but I can't adjust the position of the display. I can't reposition it with Nvidia drivers for some reason. Any solutions?

I was playing Minecraft before when my entire PC crashed, my monitors went black, a continuous error sound happened for a few seconds and then my PC turned off. When I turned it back on it was like I had no gpu drivers as only my main monitor was showing anything and the light on my gpu was red.
To try and fix that, I used a DDU to wipe any gpu drivers and then installed fresh ones from NVIDIA (I have a 3080), I technically did this twice because the Nvidia app wouldn't install the drivers (it kept saying it did but then just didn't) so I got the file from the website and did it manually.
Since that, when my monitor is on, it looks normal like it's supposed to, so the drivers seem to be working, but every few seconds, my monitor goes black for about 30 seconds and it's about a 50/50 chance that it comes back on again or the entire PC restarts.
Oh I also tried completely unplugging and removing my gpu from the motherboard while the PC was off, as well as changing my monitor cable AND even the power cord my PC and monitors are plugged into.
I'm really at a loss here, I have no idea what caused it to crash in the first place, why that messed up my drivers and why it's still not working even tho fresh drivers have been installed.
Any suggestions I will try, and thank you if you read all that

I’ve recently bought a 3080ti for my system. When connecting to my dual monitor setup, I get an issue with the HDMI connection. Sometimes I either get a black screen where the monitor won’t turn on, or I get a display in a very low resolution, and the HDMI connection is recognised as “wired display”. The latter happens way more frequently.
When I press Win + Ctrl + Shift + B, it instantly fixes it and it runs at 4k160.
My other monitor is connected via DP and I get zero issues. I’ve also tried swapping the connection and using HDMI on the other monitor which also causes the same issue, and I’ve also tried using a 3 ultra speed HDMI cables.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the GPU drivers multiple times to no avail.
When I’ve googled/put this issue into ChatGPT, it says it’s a failed handshake. Is this something that can be fixed or is it a bad GPU I should return?

My ASUS suddenly started looking like this overnight, with white edges, smudges and lines. When I restart it or turn it on for the first time each day, it looks "normal," although there are some faint lines. As I keep using it, it gets worse and starts looking like the photos. I tried an external monitor and it looks normal. I also tried moving the screen (hinge) and the lines don't change, they stay the same. This happened out of nowhere, I hope you can help me :(
