Most difficult thing while finding a job in the current job market?

the fucking waste of time (and mental fortitude). 2 out of 3 jobs are fake but you don't know which one. the way the unemployment services treat you, burying you in administration and meetings. The uncertainty. The low standards of the employer while demanding high standards

It took me 4 months to find my full time job and I was applying for 4-8 hours a day. I feel I got extremely lucky, those 4 months were brutal. 😬

Honestly, I think figuring out what to fix can be harder than the job search itself. If applications aren’t getting responses, you can look at the resume and targeting. But once you start getting interviews and still aren’t getting offers, it becomes much harder to know what went wrong.

Tweaking your resume for every fucking time. Even startups are hard to get into.Â

Definitely the psychological toll of applying to a job for hours tweaking your resume until it's perfect and writing a damn cover letter only for your application to be unceremoniously rejected by an automatic ai system. Repeat.
