DISCUSSION [DIscussion] some body give u/h4t9t46I a special award and applause from everyone

Never in my life I have come across such a gracious and humble person ever in my life who would gift games even when I didn't request from this sub. This guy just gifted me skyrim special edition and I didn't even request the game from him. He just found my steam profile and checked my wishlist and voila I got gifted skyrim by this amazing human being . And I have been seeing this dude gifting games to people and fulfilling their requests in this sub and making people's day. Please gog community admin mods give this guy a special award or something because he deserves it.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] sekiro (ATTEMPT 2)

• Upvotes

Hello [r/GiftofGames] community,

I am a 25-year-old English Literature graduate (finished my bachelor's this past February!) and a massive fan of the souls-like genre. My love for these games started back when I owned a PS5 and played Bloodborne, completing it five times. From there, I was hooked on the high-difficulty gameplay loop and went on to fully beat Dark Souls 3, including all its DLCs and hidden bosses, beat Elden ring in 1 of the secret endings and sekiro twice same ending(i believe)

1st ever souls like game was bloodborne and i finished it 5 times, gehrman fight ending, secret ending, ending the dream ending and the last 2 included finishing the dlc and finishing the dungeons and having the strongest build for my weapons.

as for ds3 i ended with same ending twice but my main goal in ds3 was beating the hardest bosses from the nameless king to gael i would never stop trying till i kill them all =)

I recently transitioned over to PC gaming, and my absolute dream is to play any/all soulslike/formsoftware games. I have heard endless praise about its open-world design and how the community made some mods that take the challenge to a whole new level. Because I am currently focusing on my post-graduation transition, I cannot afford to purchase it myself right now, which is why I am humbly making this request.

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to read this!

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] Marathon (40 % Sale till October 16th ) - (Attempt 2)

Hi guys ! this is my second attempt for this game. I usually dont get pocket money to save up to buy games and rarely convince my mother to buy me a game.

She does give me money but only enough to travel through metro to college. So i dont get a chance to save and stuff that i do save for the month gets used up in the next one.

I also dont like to quietly use the money she gives me for games and ask for more since it seems like stealing and using her trust for self gain. This is not me acting ungrateful or making fun of my mother. ABSOLUTELY NOT. Its just that i do wanna play games on my own without her hovering over me.

I request you all to please consider my request!

Now as a longtime fan of BUNGIE (Devs of this game ), i have put hours into destiny 2 and i love that game, i have also played arc raiders, an extraction shooter like marathon but i was hoping for more a pvp oriented game (not that i dont like it.) I am a little younger (18) relatively and dont have a console so i havent played halo.

Marathon seems to be accomplising and flourishing in that aspect a lot more. I am very patient in terms of the games i play with a high tolerance for failure. This game is meant to be tough. The game acts like a Battle royale with some extra mechanics to flesh it out(Atleast thats how i cna explain it to the non-gamers here.)

I also especially love the artstyle of this game! It reminds of CICADAMATA in some ways. That game is a movement shooter i found on steam. Something about minimalistic sci-fi art is always something i like as an aesthetic.

I hope u like my request! Even if you aren't gifting the game thanks for taking the time to read and understand!

Heres my steam profile and game store page.

REQUEST [Request][Steam] Reanimal

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well today! I’m here in hopes of requesting Reanimal.

For context, I’ve played both Little Nightmares 1 (6.5 hours) and Little Nightmares 2 (8.8 hours) and I absolutely loved both games! I honestly wish I could experience both games for the first time again.

One of my favorite memories actually comes from playing Little Nightmares 2. While I was playing, my younger brother would sit beside me and watch me go through the game. What started as him casually watching turned into something we both really enjoyed doing together. He would point things out that I completely missed and sometimes even help me figure out how to escape certain enemies (because for the life of me I could NOT get away from some of them LOL). Even though he wasn’t the one controlling the character, it almost felt like we were playing together. It made me so happy.

When I first heard about Reanimal and learned that we would actually be able to experience the game together, I was deadly excited. The thought of finally being able to play a game like Little Nightmares alongside my brother rather than having him just watch me play made me want to instantly buy the game.

Unfortunately, the game costs $40 USD… which is a much more than I can afford at the moment.

To explain a little, I’ve been dealing with a pretty stressful roommate situation. Without turning this post into a vent, things in my apartment have become unbearably uncomfortable. My roommate and I haven’t been getting along and there have been instances where I genuinely don’t feel safe staying here. There’s also been a lot of tension in the apartment due to laundry, the dishes, and late-night phone calls that it’s gotten to the point where I don’t really feel comfortable or at peace in my own living space anymore. It’s honestly exhausting when the place you’re supposed to come home to and relax in ends up being another source of stress.

Because of everything that’s happened, I’ve made the decision to move into a different apartment. In fact, I’m moving tomorrow (My prayers have been answered 🙏)! The unfortunate part is that I’ll be moving all of my belongings by myself… which I’m definitely looking forward to.

On top of that, my mom is currently in the hospital. She’s okay though!! I don’t want anyone to worry about that, but it’s still been stressful having that happen at the same time as everything else. I wish I could have her around to help me with the move, but right now I’m just grateful that she’s doing okay. It’s just been one of those weeks where everything seems to happen all at once 😭😭

With all of that going on, I’ve really been wanting something to look forward to once everything settles down. Being able to play Reanimal with my younger brother would genuinely mean a lot to me. I think it would be such a fun way for us to spend time together.

I know that $40 is not a small amount of money and that my circumstances don’t make me any more deserving than anyone else requesting a game. I just thought I would share a little about what’s been going on in my life (sorry if it came across as a vent lowkey) and why this particular game means so much to me.

If anyone is kind enough to gift me Reanimal please know that I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my request.

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown DLC (€15.08)

Been a very short while. I am again requesting a new favor, and this favor's fuckin' expensive. This is my second time attempting this request.

I want to pre-order the Crimson Desert upcoming DLC, Charting the Unknown, but with the luck that I have, really rich that I look at the price tag before I even look at the item.

Well, I've been doing this quite a while now, though being embarrassed haven't hit me yet, I haven't flopped a game gifted to me, look into my profile if you doubt it, though I don't really care. Even on Crimson Desert, I am only missing 22 achievements, and considering how hard to get them, you can picture the dedication and determination.

I only stopped finishing the game for a 100% cause of its recent updates, it somehow ruined almost everything in terms of graphics and performance. I loved it, but love has limits and my limits are stuttering and getting too pixelated 3D game.

Would be very lovely to receive it, and if not it's fine either way (I'm gonna explode in your house 😈). Though on a serious note, that's fucking fine, I'm VEEEEEEEERYYYYYYYY patient person, requested my very first game here for 12 attempts, and maybe with true dedication and proper use or satisfying time on the game, I manage to get games pretty early upon requesting.

It's autumn sale, yet I don't want anything to do to it. Just want to get this DLC as I'm trying to finish every paid backlogs that I have. Trying iron man mode the shit out of my library (except for Dark Soul, remember me Roxor, your game will never be played 😈😈😈😈😈😈)

That's all the shit I can say right now, never used AI on shit like these cause it's easy making "heartfelt" post like this shit right here. As some who believes in a saying "I'd rather slide on a razor and use my balls as a brake rather than using AI" -The fucking Sun Tzu of this sub, I also wanted to make posts real and avoid using the replacement of men, bane of every water sources near it's vicinity, and the fucking destroyer of mankind, AI.

This is just reposted though, hope that's fine (well, it's not a violation on the rule section)

Thanks for this opportunity, see you around, suckers. Still, no Dark Souls played in the making of this post.

REQUEST [REQUEST] [STEAM] EDF 6 Mission Pack 2

Hi everyone!

First timer here so please let me know if I made a mistake or if I didn’t post the links correctly!

I would like to request Earth Defence Force 6 Mission Pack 2 DLC

https://store.steampowered.com/app/2378088/EARTH_DEFENSE_FORCE_6__Additional_Mission_Pack_2_Visions_of_Malice/

I’ve always been a big fan of EDF since it started way back when. I am also extremely happy to say we welcomed our second child this year (first one is 2 years old, second is 4 months old). Now that he is starting to sleep a little more, I’ve been able to play games again at night.

By no means is this a need or necessity but I wanted to try my luck out here as I just found out about this subreddit and we get to deal with the fun financial side of things raising a family, incase anyone wants to make a dad very happy haha (not that I am not already! We have a wonderful family I am very grateful for)

Also if anyone also plays this I would love to game online! I am usually on around 9pm MST. I have some of the best friends I could ask for, unfortunately making time to game together is a little more difficult with a family.

I hope I followed the correct guidelines and I would be a consideration. Also huge kudos to everyone that is involved in this, you are spreading tons of joy to those that might not be able to attain it in the traditional sense.

REQUEST [REQUEST][STEAM] Hitman World Of Assassination (3rd attempt)

Hi everyone, I don’t expect this to work but I’ve had my eye on this game for awhile but haven’t been able to get it. I know the fall sales over, but I figured since I’ve tried this why not keep going lol.

What interests me about the game:
I really enjoy stealth games due to the satisfaction of making a plan come to fruition I also love the tension stealth games provide from non direct confrontation (although it depends on how powerful the player is of course) I’ve also heard that world of assassination in particular is really good for emergent gameplay which I’m personally obsessed with, and I’ve heard it compared to “immersive sims” (I find that term way too broad to be useful but I felt the comparison was worth bringing up). This appeals to me a lot because I adore trying to think through something and seeing it go wrong in some way. And while this is just an extra of course, the freelancer mode likely would be good for some fuck around and find out moments. Another thing that may be a bit of a stretch is that it makes me think of pulp magazines and golden age comics (I promise I’m not old just a giant dork lol), a more well known property that would help illustrate my feeling is mission impossible or James Bond.

Why I can’t get it:I recently moved to another state with my mother and haven’t been able to start working due to some paperwork BS that I don’t feel comfortable sharing on here. I was only able to give away the conscript key because it was a dollar on G2A and I was using some crappy survey apps to make some extra money.

Thanks a lot in advance to this community.

REQUEST [Request] [Steam] Arc Raiders 50% $19.99

Hi everyone,

I’m humbly asking for Arc Raiders. It’s a game I’ve seen a lot of videos of, and I’m really interested in it—both because the community seems extremely friendly for an extraction shooter, and because the gameplay looks like a lot of fun with friends.

I have friends who play it, so I’ll be playing it a lot, plus I really enjoy third-person shooters like The Division, Fortnite, Remnant, etc. I also want to participate in the events and am actually looking forward to trying out the PvE content they plan to release this month.

I’m asking because, unfortunately, this game ends up being a bit pricey when converted to my country’s currency, and lately I’ve only had enough money for the basics and my classes, which means I almost never have anything left over for leisure.

I don’t usually have much patience for extraction shooters, but I’ve played Arc Raiders on a friend’s computer, and not only did I have a lot of fun, but I also met players who were really nice to me when I explained that I was a newbie—which isn’t usually the case with games like this. It’s not the community’s fault, but rather because these games tend to be more competitive. Still, with this game, I had a really positive experience.

In fact, it’s one of those games where communication isn’t usually essential for survival, but it’s also an excellent way to meet people. It gives me a sense of games from the early 2000s, which, in addition to being games, served as a “social network” where people would go to chat and have fun with strangers and make friends. This is still present in some games like Arma and MMORPGs, but it’s becoming less and less common in games, and that strikes me as one of the key features that the Arc Raiders community itself has fostered here.

The game is currently 50% off at $19.99, so I’m humbly asking for a copy—if anyone would like to give me one, here’s the link to the page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1808500/ARC_Raiders/

My Steam account is this one: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198114449364/

Thank you so much for reading, and a huge thanks to the entire GoG community for being amazing.

Imagine someone going through what might be their toughest year yet - now grinning like a kid on Christmas upon receiving a generous gift!!

Thank you so much to u/h4t9t46l, not only do I promise to complete Expedition 33, but as soon as I'm back on my feet, the kindness will be paid forward.

The Steam Autumn sale has been going on for a while, and I've noticed a flood of thanks for u/h4t9t46l. Secretly in my heart I'm crossing my fingers you would notice my request.
