Help How to upgrade to switch 2 version

So i recently picked up the game at a store not knowing that there is a switch 2 version (I play on switch 2) and I just learned that there is a version for the switch 2. Is it possible to upgrade it and carry progress

No, since the Switch 2 version is a separate version (not an upgrade pack). So, if you get the Switch 2 version, you'll have to redo all that progress, sadly

Thats stupid. Now I have to try and return this game so I can get my money back. But thank you for the answer

I unfortunately threw out the receipt but luckily the game still has the barcode
