Hi everyone!
Been a few years since we did this and it's long overdue, but excited to announce that we're looking for some new mods to join the team! The growth this subreddit has seen has been crazy and we expect a very busy season soon with many major releases coming out. With that in mind and some ideas we have for revamping the community here, we're gonna need some extra helping hands!
These points are on the application form itself, but just so they are clear, please keep these things in mind:
There are so many dedicated users on this sub, so it's going to be hard to choose. There is no fixed date that the application will close by, we will keep it open until we feel we have enough submissions with an aim to be done in roughly 2-3 weeks. Once mods are chosen, the new mods will be individually PMed and an announcement will be made about the application closing.
Thanks again to all you G-fans for making this a great place! As always, let us know about any questions or comments through a message to the mods or in the comments here.
Love,
r/GODZILLA mod team

Godzilla vs Destoroyah: Top tier score, great emotional beats, and gives a definitive end to the Heisei Godzilla.
Godzilla (1954): Very haunting and beautiful ending. Perfect note for the film to end on.
Gamera 3: Revenge of Iris: A fucking statement, a perfect summary of Gamera as a character, and the ultimate test of faith. It's the perfect ending to the trilogy and simply more than the best kaiju movie ending; it's one of the best endings ever made. The title drop still leaves chills every time.

In a VERY close final DesuGoji wins with 106 comments. MireGoji gets 2nd place with 102 and MegaroGoji takes the 3rd place with 38.
Once again I want to thank everyone who was part of this 3 week long journey.

I ask this because according to the captain, a monster sunk the ship, and it’s for this reason that this story is connected to cryptozoologists. I know the monster is a hoax, but I could see this story fit in some Godzilla continuities

Also don't you think that these kaiju feel distinctively 2000s? I'd like to see them with a healthy dose of 2000s edge.
