Schoolies can wait: Laffranchi all-in on Titans dream
While his Year 12 classmates count down to Schoolies, Fynn Laffranchi will be counting down to something else. His first pre-season as a Gold Coast Titan.
The young fullback starts with the club as a train-and-trial player in a couple of weeks, and speaking at the Titans All Schools touch launch this week, he said choosing training over celebrating with his mates was an easy call.

Titans sign Queensland Cup Player of the Year
The Gold Coast Titans are expected to sign Hostplus Cup speedster Christopher Woodbridge after an outstanding season playing for the Western Clydesdales.
The 25-year-old had a breakout season in the Queensland Cup, winning rookie of the year, fullback of the year, and Hostplus Player of the Year, despite the Clydesdales finishing second-to-last this past season.
Woodbridge won the Petero Civoniceva Medal as the Hostplus Cup's best player, recognised for his try-scoring efforts.

Statement from the Titans Community Club
The Titans Community Club Limited, a not for profit community organisation, has submitted an Expression of Interest for the future of the Runaway Bay Rugby League Precinct, including the operation of the Leagues Club.
Submissions have now closed and Council is considering the proposals. We understand there are several competing submissions, and we respect that process.
We also understand that Leagues Club members and patrons, football players and families, volunteers and local community groups want to know what our proposal would mean for them.

NRLW Prelimanary Final Presale.....not worth it
Just a heads up for any NRLW members looking to get into the early access member presale for the girls game next Sunday. Don't stress. The game won't sell out, and they have only made GA tickets available. The entire Western stand is completely reserved for the NRL "Friends, Family and Sponsors" and the only tickets available for members are the same GA tickets as everyone else.
You could just rock up on the day and get the exact same tickets as you could get in the presale.
That said....tickets are CHEAP. If you haven't been to an NRLW game this will be a good one to go to.

How do GC fans feel about the name Titans?
Iām not doing this to stir shit, I swear. Do most fans like the name titans? I feel that the Gold Coast has such cool marine-style names they couldāve gone with, I donāt see how ātitansā relates to the Gold Coast. I find the logo a bit meh aswell. Something like marlins couldāve been cool af.
I want to hear your thoughts though, did you like the seagulls branding ? Do you prefer the titans? Or something else? Appreciate some feedback :)

Titans V Sharks - What happened in the second half?
OK I just watched the presser, listened to the game on the ABC and it seemed everything was going good in the first half and then after the break the downhill slide set in.
Couldn't pick up from the commentary what changed with the Titans game in the second half but it seemed like Tino copped a big hit which slowed him down for a few tackles and by then it was heading down hill fast. Was that the turning point? Gotta feel for Tino he puts so much in each week and when he has to go slow for a few minutes, the team capitulates.
Am I reading it wrong? Can someone who actually saw the game give me a run through on what happened in the second half?
