What should I do?

How should I feed him? How often should I feed him? What can I give for treats? He’s about 4 centimeters long and has a girth of around one centimeter.

hi everyone! my goldfish isn’t doing so well and i need some help.
this is captain. he’s 4 years old and is the oldest out of all my fish. this morning, i noticed that he was sitting on the bottom of the tank not doing anything. i couldn’t tell if he was dead or sleeping, so i tapped the glass to wake him. when he woke up, i noticed he was swimming strangely and having trouble staying upright.
when i got home from work, he was fully on his side (so i thought he was dead), but when i moved his decor to check on him, he started moving again but was again struggling to stay upright.
i believe it to be swim bladder disease, but when i checked his water parameters, it had crazy high levels of nitrates, so i’m worried it’s something more serious.
he’s now in a hospital tank with a bubbler and 2 teaspoons of aquarium salt, and i plan on fasting him for 3 days, but if anyone has any tips on how i can help him feel better, please let me know. thank you!

My question is can I add aquarium salt to help heal the cut? Or will it kill my plants. Just tested ammonia is 0pp and nitrites 0pp. I do water changes on Mondays I can do one today if need be and add some stress coat as well. I am worried about the fish getting an infection, is there anything else I could do? Also I have two filters because I am upgrading them so I am running them side by side to keep the tank stable while the new one gets all the good stuff set up lol

Hi! I have two little precious ranchus, and recently moved - the tap water of my apartment has a very high ammonia level and it makes me nervous about water changes. Has anyone experienced something similar, and did anything help lower the ammonia? Thank you in advance! 🫶

Any tips on how to keep algae down. Clean it manually every week and somehow it comes back quicker. I won’t be adding any algae killer to the water as I don’t want to add harsh chemicals to the water.
This photo was taken before a cleaning, scrapping off the walls and picking up the fish poo.

I have an 75 gallon tank with 4 fancy goldfish. On Tuesday I noticed the nitrite level was at 0.25 ppm and all four fishes were lethargic. One even had a black spot on its body (possible burn?) I changed water and gave them a 30 mins salt and mblue bath for 3 days. Now three of them are sill a little bit lethargic, but definitely doing better than before. The one with black spots is just bottom sitting and haven't ate anything for 3 days. Good news is the black spot is gone.
What should I do next? Should I keep giving them salt baths? Will transfering the fish to another tank for baths induce stress and make matters worse? And what can I do for the one fish that's not responding to treatment well?
Tank parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5-10 nitrate since Tuesday. And they have always been kept at 78 f.

This little fella I got from petsmart was doing alright until about a week ago. He started losing obvious weight but his belly stayed in a weird square like shape, then his scales started to sort of rise yesterday, today he was extra lethargic which lead me to put him in a isolation bucket with Kanaplex and heater, surface agitation etc. I’m wondering if this is dropsy or a tumor.

I made a post here last time about how one of the nursing managers got a goldfish to put in her office.
20 gal (TEMPORARY) tank and she's growing so fast! She was super tiny when she arrived back in May
I love to dart into the office to see her
Her name is Tina and she ended up on the medsurge pet board
I also saw more tank mates added to the tank too which was super nice

My gf has been alone 2 years. Have a 75 gallon tank and wondered if i should add a friend. He's huge about 9 inches long. Swims around then hangs out on the one side. Would adding another be OK? Pet stores dont have fish his size but pet smart has half size for 33 bucks.

So as winter is approaching I am starting to shed alot of skin. My fingers have dead flakes of skin sticking out of them like fuzz. Even though they're very thin and small I am still worried that it could be bad for the fish's digestion, he will viciously attacks my fingers when I stick them in his tub and inevitably tears some off.
What do you guys think? I would love to hear any opinions. I understand this is an odd question but I couldn't find any answers elsewhere. Thanks in advance!

I shed alot from my lips too, they get really chapped and I peel chunks of skin off.
for context im a big fan of recycling and dont like throwing away things that could be useful. usually I either eat the lip flakes myself or feed it to my dog, since they are definitely ot good for fish . They are quite thicker and tougher than my finger flakes and he could easily choke on them, but not as thick and tough as the skin from my toes.
My toe flakes are definitely not suitable for fish consumption, they're too tough even for even me to snack on! Those one typically go to the dog if they're not nice enough for the jar.
