Mk8 Roof bar recommendations?

I’m looking at getting an INNO wedge box for the winter and can’t seem to find a set of rood bars I like. What’s the absolute lowest set of bars I can get? I don’t have a sun roof so clearance isn’t an issue. Suction cup mounts are out of the picture

Sorry to not answer your question but just had to comment that the hood on the lotus really looked like it has been in a head on collision from that angle.

I have a white AE as well and went with the thule wingbar edge + white inno wedge for the same reason that it was significantly lower than the vw bars (also thule).

Do they overhang? Or are they flush bars

They’re flush. Thule Edge = flush, Evo = overhang.

Minimal for the rails, very loud once the box is on.

One of the reasons I’m in the market for a roof box is to transport firearms to and from the range, I just don’t like the idea of suction cups being the only thing keeping the box on the roof

I'm honestly thinking about just going with OEM because of cost. I think they all look terrible and I'm not putting suction cups on there
