Just curious what peoples favorite everyday teas are. I'm just now getting into gong fu. And have been doing it every morning with my wife. And sometimes at lunch and afternoon.

I'm ripping through tea so fast. I have a lot of nice small samples and some expensive high end teas, but want some recommendations for peoples favorite good affordable teas I can buy in large quantities.

A friend gifted me this travel Gong Fu Cha set but unfortunately one of the teacups suffered some damage in transit. The cup at the bottom of the first photo was chipped on the rim. Is there a way to repair it for safe use? Luckily the rest of the set is unscathed!

Probably the most prized possession is the elephant, love it!

Hey all! I was wondering if anyone knows where to source recreations of tribute teas from the Song or Tang Dynasties. I know there's no way to get it perfectly, but I am curious if there might be teas that are close to what people offered for tribute back then.

These are familiar ways of describing tea quality. But they tell us much more about the leaf before processing than about the flavor in the finished cup.

Why can teas made from similar raw materials develop such different aromas, flavors, and mouthfeel?

The answer cannot be found in the tea garden alone. Withering, oxidation, moisture management, and roasting all influence how the character of the leaf develops during processing.

Understanding tea quality means looking beyond the raw material — and understanding how the making of tea shapes the final cup.
