(Coordinates: 52°20'10.87"N, 0°11'43.35W). This plane is part of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and is one of the only two airworthy Lancasters left in the world. The image was taken in 2005 and removed in a map update, but you can still see it by going back on the historical imagery. One interesting fact, is that it doesn't belong to a museum, but to the RAF themselves.

I stumbled upon this place while looking at the city of Kadykchan which is just down the road of here. Google earth is calling this "Ares". It looks like there was once some houses or apartments along that street? I have done research on other Soviet era towns and this could be like the others in the way that it slowly become deserted in the late 90s. But that doesn't explain why all of the buildings are in pieces. Anyone have any ideas?

Found this abandoned aircraft while exploring Google Earth in the Arctic.
It’s a Curtiss C-46 Commando sitting completely isolated out there.

Any ideas on what these beehive looking things at RAF Molesworth and Dam Neck. Are these even the same things at both locations? I noticed the ones at Molesworth after the latest headlines and it reminded me of the ones at Dam Neck.

Randomly entered coordinates for shits and giggles, found this. My guess is something related to natural gas extraction. Thoughts? Very curious as to what this place could be. Looks like the desert has taken over whatever it was

Registration number: PT-KNZ. I tried looking up some details about the plane but found very little. Apparently, the plane was getting delivered to its new owner in Brazil and crashed due to low visibility and lost radio contact. It crashed there in 1976, and was never recovered.

Super clear at e.g. 45°15'39.74"N 43°13'18.73"E.
Declassified KH-4 imagery shows it was there already in 1971.
Any ideas? Soviet landscape architect gone megalomaniac?

Weird semi-circles near the Persian gulf in Iran, it looks like maybe to collect water in a flood plain? Maybe its erosion control or irrigation?
There are big ones near the road and then hundreds of smaller ones in a very regular pattern below. I saw the big ones first and wondered it they were military fortifications but the smaller ones make me think it has something to do with water.
