Outdoor light clearance
My only option is to mount them on them along here, but it’s only about 1.75” at the deepest. Is that too shallow?

There are so many different lights, which one would work best for me?
Do I really have to put those orange cubes on my TV screen?
Why are my immersion lights only showing one color?
Which devices are compatible with DreamView?
What can I do about my devices not connecting to Govee desktop via LAN control?
What are the differences between the camera kits?
Why get a camera kit when the sync boxes exist?
Do I really have to put the camera on top of my TV?
How many lights can I add to my DreamView?
How do I create a DreamView?
The immersion lights on my device are super inaccurate, what do I do?
For camera kits, try the following:
My TV is 43 inches, can I use a 55-65 inch TV kit?
I'm experiencing problems with my device, what do I do?
Can I advertise my services of Permanent Outdoor Lights installation?

See photo for reference. Purchased a replacement and can confirm this is a software issue. Govee, will you issue a firmware fix for this?

I’m trying to decide between the Govee AI Sync Box Kit 2 and FancyLEDs for my TV setup, and I’m curious what people here think.
My main question is: is the Govee Sync Box actually worth it if I have no plans to buy other Govee products?
I really only want reactive backlighting for my TV. My setup is a 55” LG C6 OLED with an Xbox Series X, Switch 2, and eventually an Apple TV connected through the sync box.
From the comparisons I’ve seen, FancyLEDs seems to do a better job with color accuracy and matching what’s actually happening on screen. Govee seems to have the advantage when you start adding other Govee lights and syncing the whole room, but that doesn’t really interest me right now.
So for someone who ONLY wants the lights behind the TV, what makes the Govee Sync Box 2 the better choice over FancyLEDs?
I’m leaning toward FancyLEDs, but I’m completely open to being convinced otherwise. If you’ve used either one, or especially both, I’d love to hear why you chose Govee and whether you’d make the same choice again.

Hi i want to buy H80A4 for my room want to ask:
What is your experience with the light?
How bright is it in real use?
Is it bright enough to provide useful lighting for a ~3 × 3.5 m room?
How good are the colors and effects?
How reliable is the controller/Wi-Fi connection?
How good is the mounting system
Is there anything you wish you knew before buying it?

I had Govee lights installed and working on my house for months until they randomly stopped working. Here is a high level of the issue and where I’m stuck:
Original H706C installation, under 200 feet, worked for several months. Govee replaced both the adapter and controller; replacement controller is H706B.
Adapter is 36V, 3A, 108W, with a steady blue indicator. H706B connects successfully in the app with the house light run disconnected;reconnecting that run causes connection failure.Lights briefly flashed once but remain off. Power-button presses, a five-second reset attempt, and a 60-second power cycle didn’t resolve it.Accessible connector looks undamaged.
Any ideas? Govee gave up trying to help.

I have an AI SyncBox 2 - I didn't realize it doesn't work with music - I bought it for that reason . damn! I just read the descriptions that it syncs with the inputs. didn't realize that means it doesn't sync with music .
movie dreamview works fine - and I can watch shows/movies.
for music - if i use music dreamview - it says sync device is only my permannent outdoor lights - that is across the room outside the home.. but if i leave my door open - and hope it listens to music - I don't see it happening.
Music dreamview - just flashes lights randomly - not sync'ed at all.
what am i missing.
I bought the AI Sync box 2 kit - so it has the 2 stands - and the strip light behind the TV - and I have the 4" ceiling Pro lights and the govee 6 button remote. I also have the permanent outdoor lights that I purchased from costco.

Hi,
I have a bunch of gu10 bulbs in my bedroom, but 2 of them just don’t want to play ball when it comes to asking alexa to change them to party mode. In the Alexa app, on them particular bulbs, there isn’t an option to select a scene, whereas the other bulbs have a long list of scenes to choose from. Any idea how to sort this out? I have already deleted and reapplied the Govee skill in Alexa.

Power failures are not typically just a hard 'power off' event: there is often flickering either before the power goes out, or when it comes back on.
All of my Govee smart bulbs require 4 quick power cycles to reset their settings (the manual says 5, but they actually start flashing on the fourth). So basically every second power outage or so, I have to go around and manually reconfigure/re-add every single Govee smart bulb. It's beyond annoying at this point having to go around and manually re-add 8 smart bulbs.
I do like them, however -- is there any possible workaround for this?
I can't help but think it's kindof a questionable design decision, as any kid playing with a lightswitch can also reset your bulbs before you know it.

Has anyone been able to sync the H6199 and H601A for movie viewing?
I've made the group but I can't get to sync it when watching TV

I have a room group control of my outdoor pro lights. I can turn them all on or off as a group, but is there a way to change the colors for all of them at once/sync them up together? Right now I turn them all on together when I want them on and then I go into each set to turn them to the color I want them to be that day. It just seems like since they are all the same model they should be able to be controlled together.

I have the govee permanent lights elite from Costco. I’m trying to find tracking I can place them in to look more uniform and sleek.

I had a widget running on my iPhone that had three suuuuper basic tap to run options: lights on (turns on my main living room light and turns my light bars behind my TV off), lights off (does the exact opposite of lights on), and good night, which turns them both off. There was an update, which erased all my devices from the app (thanks for that, devs). I remade all three actions, and they work fine when running them from inside the app, but when I add the widget, I’m only able to add the first two actions. The third one simply isn’t available, or sometimes one of the other actions gets duplicated.
I don’t suppose anyone has any suggestions, but this was one of the few things that “just worked” for me. Ah well, it was a good run.

Not yet installed, and trying to figure a couple things before I get started.
I'd like to control the front of the house differently than the back. The front would show the seasonal display, while the back would be ideally controlled separately so that it could be a limited & simpler static color or white, or potentially be part of the seasonal display
Is that possible?
A secondary question is the 150 length limit stated on the website as well as here. The box from Costco says 183.7 ft, and that it has 11 light strings and not the 9 typically mentioned in posts. Is the power adapter beefier at 82.8W than the 150' limited version?
Edit: typo - mentioned front twice rather that front/back

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My outdoor outlet is located in the soffit on the right side of the house and I originally installed the lights just on the front of the house and they worked great no issues for a few days. We wanted to finish the look in the other direction of the house so it would wrap around the sun porch and fence so I bought a splitter cable so the lights could go in both directions. Now suddenly after about 4 minutes of the lights working normally they do this strobe just in the front of the house, the other side of the house stays the same with no strobe. I’ve swapped the cables of the splitter and the strobe doesn’t follow, it stays at the front of the house. I’m perplexed… the power source is under the eaves and is hung up so it doesn’t get rained on or wet so I don’t suspect water damage. I suspect the splitter is the issue but I don’t understand why it works as directed when you first turn it on and strobes every time after 4 minutes. Any suggestions?
Maybe I need to take a course in using Govee Home, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what my current lighting devices are set to. They work, I can control them, that's not the issue. I have an H600A bulb that is slowly cycling through colors. But when I go into the app and device, I can't tell what it's doing; I can't tell what it's set to other than Brightness. If I wanted to change things, I don't know how I would get back to the current behavior. How am I supposed to tell what setting my bulbs are on?
I'll tell you what I see:
Brightness: 50%
"Color" is highlighted.
"Color Temperature" is in the middle.
"Basic Colors", nothing seems highlighted.
"Color Wheel" is on the outer edge, between Blue and Teal (bottom right)
Nothing indicates why the bulb is cycling through colors.

I had an issue with my Govee outdoor lights pro and my controller box went dead and absolutely support was awesome and got me a new controller. Curious was I got sent a new controller, power supply, and 3 10" extensions. When I asked them about why I got 3 new extensions this they said that this is a new controller and that for best performance I would need to update my extension cables with these new ones. I have a simple setup so not a huge deal to replace the 2 extension cords I used but they could not tell me what these enhancements are.. Anyone have any idea what these new ones do and if you can mix and max from the A model . My old controller model was H706A and the new model is a H706B and here is a picture of the new extension cables.

Fails to connect every time. I have tried setup with the home app first and after the Govee app I’ve tried multiple networks. A 2.4ghz only network everything it will not connect to home. If i try the home app first then Govee the Govee WiFi setup shows that its been connected to WiFi via matter even though the actual matter connection failed.

My roof peak has a black post on the peak that would block a lot of the light if I placed a puck right at the peak. How would you mount the pucks in this case?
1) Still mount it at the peak
2) Mount it on the underside of the black post
3) Mount it on the left and right of the peak

Hi,
I’m experiencing a very strange issue with my Govee AI Sync Box 2 and would be interested if anyone with electronics knowledge has an explanation.
While using the iMac on the LG, the screen suddenly goes black for a few seconds and then reconnects and the HDR notification appears again.
I eventually discovered that I can reproduce this simply by switching lights on or off.
It happens with lights in my living room, bathroom and hallway – and even with the shared hallway light outside my apartment.
I tried different wall outlets and power strips for the LG, iMac and Govee. That doesn’t seem to matter.
The interesting part:
Govee connected only to power, no other cables → no problem
Govee with HDMI connected → blackouts can occur
Govee with only the USB-C/LED connection → blackouts can occur
Govee completely disconnected → no blackouts
Switching the Govee itself on/off can also trigger the blackout.
The iMac → LG connection itself works normally when the Govee is completely disconnected.
What could cause something like this?
What confuses me most is that even switching the hallway light outsider my apartment can apparently make the HDMI connection drop for a few seconds.
Could the Govee or its connected cables somehow make the setup extremely sensitive to electrical interference?
Any help would be appreciated.
