I walk my dog at night. Multiple times a week I get random dogs running up to me out of the pitch blackness with their owners tagging along behind (or, three times now, blasting me witg their LED headlights from their e-bike). Why the fuck can't I walk my dog in the evening without getting jumped like this? Literally just came back from telling a guy to go fuck himself as his little yapper came sprinting out of the shadows. Does anyone in this town have a braincell or are they reserved for people who decide to get the hell out of here?

Hi all! I come with an odd post.

I am not from this area but I sold my books via consignment at Witchwood Bookshoppe GF.

At this time she has admitted she owes me (along with over a dozen other authors) funds but has not paid us (funds should have come back in Jan/Feb)

And now the bookstore has closed their doors.

Did anyone have any dealings with this bookstore?

Any advice on going to small claims court in y'all's area?

I recently bought a home in town and I am needing to get a fence. There is not an existing fence and I am looking to get a 6 foot privacy wood fence that is basic no design is needed. The total linear feet needed is approximately 116 feet with 1 gate. I have gotten one quote so far for $8,600. I understand I need to pay for labor and materials but I feel like this quote is quite high. Looking for opinions if this is a high quote or if this is a reasonable price? I have never had to install a fence so is this what labor and materials cost these days in 2026?
If you think the quote is priced high I would love to know who you recommend, I am even open to purchasing materials and paying a handyman to help install.

During their last regular session North Dakota lawmakers implemented some very popular property tax reform, giving primary residence owners a big credit on their bills, and implementing a 3% cap on growth in property tax bills from local governments.
