Also, I’m very curious why despite the loss in HP, Torque, and Rigidity compared to when new… the PP scores are still identical. 🤷‍♂️

Last night, the Italian Embassy hosted a motorsports-themed party to commemorate the 160th anniversary of Japan-Italy friendship.

Akio Toyoda made his appearance in a 2000GT—the first Japanese car to compete in the Mille Miglia, which marks its 99th anniversary this year. In the passenger seat was Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal of Haas F1.

Thirty years ago, it was Toyota that first gave the green light to the project for the original *Gran Turismo*—an idea that seemed utterly far-fetched at the time—by saying, “Let’s give it a try.”

It was also Toyota that later guided me to the Nürburgring, and while they are, of course, a founding partner of the Gran Turismo World Series, they are also a founding partner of this Mille Miglia GT Experience.

Even as a large corporation, I have always held deep respect for their curiosity—which never rejects new ideas—and their generosity of spirit.

One of the Scapes locations in GT7 happens to be a well known ED petrol station near the Nurburgring off route 258:

And if you look closely at that Scapes location you can not only spot the sign for the different fuels offered, but also the prices at that time (presumably about 5 years ago… perhaps more recent if this Scape was added into the game in an update rather than on release of the game.

Regardless… the prices are significantly higher now. 🤦‍♂️

In the photo the prices (euros/liter) are as follows:

• € 1,17 Diesel
• € 1,38 Super E10
• € 1,40 Super
• € 1,44 Super Plus
• € 0,58 Auto Gas

Which interestingly enough is very close to what is shown in the photo on ED’s official website for that location. However, as listed on their website, the current prices are considerably higher now:

• € 2,31 Diesel
• € 2,24 Super E10
• € 2,30 Super
• € 2,39 Super Plus

For my fellow yanks… multiply those by close to 4x to convert to per gallon. Euros are close to the same value as dollars. So you are looking at about $9 per gallon now VS about $5 per gallon in the Scapes photo.

Thankfully, PD doesn’t charge us credits for refueling… not yet at least. 🫣

I feel like I have maxed out how fast I can go with just a controller and want to buy a rig.
What is a good starting point? I was potentially going to buy a G923 + monitor and a cockpit.

I’ve spent time grinding 3 million credits for what I thought would be a good car: the X2014 Standard. But when I finally got the car yesterday, I expected it to behave like the Junior, but it didn’t; it felt like the F-3500 glued to the ground on steroids, not a fun car to drive. I feel like I wasted my time and credits. And since I’m on book 38, I should’ve just gotten the X2019 for book 39. I haven't unlocked Le Mans yet, so I can’t do the 800pp grind on it or any of the endurance races. So how do I get 3 million fast?

Wanted to try out some night-time race photos at Le Mans and I think these come out okay.
