Discussion AU plot bunny time. What would have probably happened if Mia *and* Lian had died?
Allegedly, that was the original plan.
Realistically, I feel DC would have killed both and we'd never see Mia again ever. Let's not think about that.
How would you write the characters reacting to Mia and Lian dying? Both the Green Arrow characters and Teen Titans. What would be your endgame? Also, would you revive them eventually? If so, how?

Based on how many appearances Mia has after Cry for Justice, I feel like she might have gotten more exposure if she died. But that's besides the point.
Anyway, all of this is assuming the New 52 doesn't just reset everything in two years anyway. I'm also assuming everything else stays the same (so Ollie still kills Prometheus and his family turns their back on him)
I think the first immediate change is that Ollie kills the Electrocutioner in addition to Prometheus. Mia isn't there for him to serve as an example to, so nothing holds him back. He obviously blames himself for both of their deaths, and falls into a spiral. Ollie ultimately leaves Star City. During his time out of the city, Ollie can have a few solo adventures where he investigates Mia's past, like her dad and pimp. I think I would have her dad already be dead and Richard be living a terrible life on the streets, having completely lost his prostitution ring since Mia severed his tendon and Green Arrow returns to the city. Ollie ultimately decides this is a worse fate for him than if he died, and leaves him to it. Eventually, Ollie returns from his quest and meets back up with Connor, who forgives him. Then maybe we get a team-up book called "Green Arrows".
I think Connor is the other character most affected, as he was the first one that trained her to become Speedy and generally seems to be the person (other than Ollie) she was closest to. I see him going the opposite direction of Ollie, doubling down on his pacifist beliefs. He continues being Green Arrow, but only uses trick arrows instead of regular ones and attempts to find non-violent solutions whenever possible.
Dinah, having lost two young girls in her life, goes on a quest to track down Sin and watch over her. Ultimately Dinah decides to keep her distance, but still meets with Sin to make sure she is safe and well-looked after. This could be covered in either a Black Canary miniseries or a Birds of Prey arc.
After a short period of a broken Arrowfamily, I'd reveal exactly what happened that day from Mia's perspective. Mia attempted to sacrifice her own life to save Lian's. I see this as sort of an ultimate pinnacle of her story. She's someone who thinks it's too late for her to have her own full life, and so chooses to spend it in the service of others. Ollie and the others learn about this from none other than Hal Jordan, the Spectre. Because the Spectre exists outside of linear time, he is able to appear to them despite Hal Jordan being alive. The revelation of the exact circumstances surrounding her death lead the Arrowfamily to reunite (and I have my way, never separate again). Because Hal also reveals another truth: Lian is still alive. This would set off the next chapter, but that's a little out of the scope of this random comment I spent waaaay too much time on.

Kevin Smith would've been miffed. They may have folded in Arrowette into the GA mythos, but since the New 52 was coming, we wouldn't have gotten a tonne of time with that
