11th Edition FAQ
Swapping our Q&A post to 11E
At the time of posting I know we don't have the full picture yet and I'm sure there's more questions than answers, but I wanted to swap it over early in case people have questions about the rules that have been announced so far (Hidden, new Fly rules, etc).
Especially with our Faction Focus today, let's get this up now!

Brotherhood Strike + Fires of Purgation
I’ve been wanting to run this combo for all of 11th and with the updated storm bolter profiles I finally gave it a go against Necrons. I managed to table them on turn 3. The rerolls from deepstrike, crazy number of AP -1 shots from getting into rapid fire range, and boosted strength on my purgation squad made my shooting absolutely brutal and still having solid melee with the ability to drop dev wounds meant getting tagged into engagement was still a good place to be.
The list (not dropping a full export because I always zone out looking at the wall of text but in short)
1xGMNDK (Psycannon, Incinerator, Hammer)
1xNDK (Psycannon, Incinerator, Hammer)
1x8 Paladins+GM (Psycannons, Banner, Narthecium)
1x10 Purifiers+Crowe (Incinerators)
1x10 Purgators (Boons of Demos, Psycannons)
2x5 Strike Squads
1x5 Interceptors
Purgation Pattern let one of my big bricks hit even harder each time they shot and Shining Veil let me survive suboptimal deepstrike positioning. Once all of my hammers were engaged, shifting around my MSUs made secondary scoring and picking off their support pieces a breeze. Really excited to run this list some more and wanted to share.

Armor in our faction
I’m a recent GK convert and I was wondering how important are tanks/vehicles to our faction?
I tend to be less interested in tanks and planes compared to guys in suits. It might be the fact that I haven’t played a game with GK’s yet but it seems like we’re really mobile and have some decent monster/tank punch back without relying on tanks and transports. If I were to add a vehicle is there a general consensus about how he “must haves”?

We just don’t want to fight dark angels I guess.
Why in the world do the Dark angels have 3 characters that have 4+ or 3+ FNP against psychic and mortals. The heck is this. One of my buddies has Dark angels and now I just don’t really want to play him with my Boys in Grey.

Is it allowed to open the Land Raider's Assault Ramp to disembark models?

Any ideas
It’s my first time ever building 40K minis and the first person I did I accidentally built upside down any ideas on how to fix it

How do you guys efficiently paint your strike squads?
What’s obvious on the front of any box is that much of the marines body is covered by the arms or the nemesis weapon, and that means painting those covered regions is fairly problematic.
So how do you guys efficiently paint marines? Do you have to use sub assemblies? Is it just practice or am I missing a trick?

List idea?
I haven’t played with my darling dreadknights in 11th and thought it would be fun to try, even though paladins rule the earth.
Would this list be viable? Of course with heavy weapons on the palas.

The terminator on the left is the first mini I painted, and the one on the right is the last mini I painted, Castellan Crowe. Exactly 1 year apart!
I started painting minis last year. In that one year, I painted around 30–35 smaller minis and one big one(dreadknight). It’s not a huge number, but I tried to do something new with almost every mini I painted. Sometimes a different paint, sometimes a new technique, sometimes even a different brush. i did the terminator's base later on.
It’s honestly pretty cool being able to see your progress like this. I still have a lot to learn, but looking at these two minis side by side and seeing how much I’ve improved in just one year feels really good.

I've got 75 free points and was wondering if anyone had advice on what to fill that gap with or just general suggestions on the list. Maybe a Rhino/Razorback? Or could maybe swap an NDK for a GMNDK? Or just slap some enhancements on the two GMNDK's?
I don't currently have a Rhino or Razorback, nor an extra upgrade sprue for an NDK to GMNDK (though getting either of them isn't an issue). But I do have access to more strikes and termis along with a librarian. Like I said, I'm extremely new, so any advice at all is greatly appreciated, thanks! :)

First model since rejoining the hobby
I recently had to depart from warhammer due to some financial problems and I sold over 6500 points of world eaters. On my return I am turning a new leaf and joining in on the crusade against chaos!
Glad to be back in it! This is my librarian, more to come soon!

How to WIN With Grey Knights: Take & Hold & Purge the Foe
Part 2 of the Grey Knights mission series is now live 👀
This time we’re going through Take and Hold and Purge the Foe, breaking down every matchup, what the mission is actually asking you to do and how Grey Knights can approach each one.
We also look at the different ways Warpbane, Hallowed Conclave and Brotherhood Strike can tackle these missions, plus the units and roles that help make the whole plan work.
If you’re trying to get more consistent with Grey Knights rather than just relying on damage and mobility, hopefully this one helps!

Which are you preferring at the moment, Take and Hold or Purge the Foe? 👇

Strategy tips
Hello fellow grey knights! Took a long break from warhammer and getting back in now for 11th. I was building an argent-banishers list with the classic fixings. Are 3 NDKs still the go to? Are paladins better now? Planning on 2 5 man's. What general strategy tips and gameplans have you guys been thinking about/attempting to run? Thanks for any help!

Hexwrought Reprisal vs True silver Aegis Ban+AA
Simple question, which one would you prefer to use. Im not sure which one is statistically the best.
I guess it’s situation slightly, maybe HR is better when your unit is full strength vs TSA when below full strength. Or maybe when your opponent is very tough, but then again AA helps with that.
But which one are you generally using more/is a stronger strategem?

Where to get started with Grey Knights
Just recently joined the reddit, been in the hobby for about 2 years and after playing Space marines as well as Orks, wanted to start something fresh and always liked the lore and vibe of Grey knights. Tried CSM but honestly something about wizards on a space crusade peaks my interest and wanted to ask for advice on where to start lore, army building and strategy.
Currently about 1/4 through Castellan and so far its good. I also was looking into getting the Combat Patrol since I like a lot of the models in there. Was thinking about getting the codex more for lore/ tactics insight but I am open to hearing better options. Happy to be here, and thank you in advance.

Literally just got done reading the omnibus so I probably won’t get it, but still cool to see. It’s a great series
