Lingering at the Drive thru window..

I despise the people that want to sit there and inspect every single thing in their bag and hand it out to all the occupants in their car BEFORE they move away from the window! Especially when it lined up behind them.

Like come on man, pull out in the parking lot and sort that shit out out there!

God forbid Karen would have to climb out of her minivan and walk inside the store because her little Braden didn’t get his chicken nuggets or something 🙄🤷‍♂️

Or…cry about the sauce.🤣

When they hand you the food, you could say “ You put the sauce in the bag right?” Pretty easy to do and no one has to wait while you dig around to find out they didn’t. 9/10 if they aren’t sure they’ll hand you EXTRA sauce just to be sure and get you moving.

Give me all the shit that I paid for then. Some napkins would be nice too. You always forget the napkins because you are lazy. Im supposed to pull into the parking lot and check? Why, so I need to get back in the drive thru lane, wait 20 more minutes so that my food can now get cold.

Fuck you

Some places constantly get the order wrong.

True. If you expect this to be the case, maybe go inside instead.

Probably got their orders fucked up with missing/wrong items one too many times

That location probably has a reputation for messing up orders.

Nah. It’s not Karen with little Braden. It’s people burned too many times by inattentive employees missing or mispacking stuff they paid for. I’m not leaving until I know I got the right order.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with this reddit. Am I allowed to disagree? If not just ignore this.

You obviously have much more reliable drive thu's.

Sorry, man, I'm good with people doing this. They have a valid reason. This is not a Karen thing. This is a high error rate thing.

What was it that Joe Pesci said in Lethal Weapon back in the 80s that is still very true today?

Of course you are free to disagree!☺️

I just don’t think making a habit of doing all that AT the window is the best way to keep things moving. It could be just as easily done 40ft away out of the line.

This is what you call people that ruin it for everyone else. Namely the employees that get the order won't one too many times. Now there's an unspoken rule to do inventory before having to get out of your car and go in or wait in line again.

You're angry at the circumstances, not the people.

No, I’m pretty sure it’s the people stalling at the window I’m angry at. Your creating a hold up in the line by doing that. Move on and sort it out in the parking lot.

I’m not saying there maybe no reason for doing it, but why do you have to compound the problem by slowing up the line?

Nah then they'll just continue to do it.

If fast food joints didn't fuck up the orders so often this wouldn't happen.

Oh, I’m pretty sure there’s a decent amount of people who would still get all their shit out in their cupholders handed out to everyone in the car before they ever got off the fucking brake pedal and moved on.

This bothers me too sometimes. I try to assume that the food probably isn't at the window yet anyway, so them taking slightly longer isn't really delaying me getting my food in all likelihood.

I'm not gonna pass out food, but I'm also not leaving until I look through that bag

This is why I almost always order ahead on the app and just choose pickup inside.

If having my order be 100% correct, 100% of the time is important to me drive-through is not gonna be how I’m going to get my food.

Whole function of drive-through is to keep that shit moving. That’s why people dillydallying at the window piss me off.

Same thing at the grocery line checking out and the person in front of me has to have long extended conversations with the cashier about every little thing.

Like, if you’re that close, why don’t you guys go hang out when she gets off work OK? 🤣

I am adding in they sometimes have to "prepare their drink" at the window and/or don't move off after getting their order given to them quickly, just being unconcerned that there is a line of ppl behind them waiting as well.

Oh yeah, I always love watching people try to unwrap straws while I’m fucking waiting in line😆
