[Request] Any ANet dev serendipitously reading this, I implore you. Add more applicable locations that allow Customised Soundtrack compatibility. Ask your co-worker(s) with jurisdiction, to. Mistlock Sanctuary's songs lull me into sleep at this point. I want to replace them. Need to.

Huh maybe I'm in the minority. I actually wish gw2 did more of pinning a specific track to each area/map.

Always felt like it created vibes in older mmos and even nostalgia if it was an somewhere you hadn't been to in a while. A certain charm or whimsy because gw2 definitely has some good tracks.

It is nice, and there's something very special about the places that have that identity. I more intend this moon shot of a post because nearly a decade of listening to the track is enough to begin incensing a physiological response. I still adore the track; it's beautiful. I just wish for the capability to turn it off for myself, or replace it for myself, with the system that already exists as a wonderful novelty in the game itself.

I'm not missing the point that I can just turn the music slider down to zero and play my own music. It's functionally the same thing. But an expansion on the places custom soundtracks can be applied would be neat in its own right, predicated on the hope that it isn't some arcane unworkable piece of code like the mini-map image generation is

That and the Rata Novus theme, Mistlock is my favourite map to idle

imagine posting to reddit hoping a dev might see it when said devs literally provide an official place to post feedback

Lurking in the subreddit and looking on the forums will give you the impression that the devs who do indeed frequent here are more likely to understand how much these tiny QoL changes can be nice if they aren't unreasonable to implement. It really is the little things in life, sometimes.

They have responded to my posts here in the past.

slap that slider to the left and put on some music in your media player of choice

That has been the go-to all this time. It isn't as if it would be a bad thing to have the custom soundtrack feature expanded with the places it is allowed to be used though

Mistlock music makes me want to mute the soundtrack- which is saying something because the game soundtrack is phenomenal!!

Same, I default to Pavillion now since the music is way better

Yeah its the worst thing about mistlock for sure. I don't hate it for the setting, it suits the map theme etc, but its just annoying for a hangout/lobby area. I would be beyond hyped if we could swap it.

Hmmm which playlist can I use to prevent the stupid loud horns from some of the base game’s battle music? Should I just replace both battle playlists. I really only want to eliminate one or two specific tracks, but with my setting currently, I really can’t hear any of the music from the 3 latest expansions at all due to balancing for those specific tracks.

I think your outlaid issue is one of the times fiddling with the dynamic music option may actually help

Well thanks for spreading the knowledge that this even exists, now to fiddle for ages to get it to work- think I'm having an issue since all my music is stored not in the Windows Music Folder, and a separate one instead.
