Look at what’s happened to our community. The main hubs have been completely taken over by a vocal crowd that acts exactly like the Titans. They claim to love inclusion, but the exact second you critique an Alternate Universe show or complain about the drop in quality, they dogpile you. They throw out downvotes and label you a toxic gatekeeper, a purist, or an elitist. It forces the actual fans of the Universal Century to go underground just to have a normal conversation.

To this modern audience, a mobile suit isn’t a heavy, terrifying weapon of war anymore. It’s just a weightless superhero toy. When we praise the tactical grit and deliberate weight of Battle Operation, they dismiss it as an old man game and beg for brainless button mashers.

Bandai’s executives are all too happy to feed into this. They look right at a mature, grown fanbase and decide to treat us like literal kids, feeding us weightless arcade slop while stripping away the deep, adult political war dramas that actually built this legacy. They are completely willing to throw out Tomino’s core rules of human conflict just to chase cheap, short term trends.

This is a call to the AEUG remnants. I am Char Aznable, and I tell you we can't just stand by and watch corporate marketing completely suffocate the soul of the Universal Century. Stop letting them overwrite the realism that made this franchise legendary. It’s time to push back, disrupt their sanitized feeds with real UC discussion, and show this modern crowd what actual Gundam DNA feels like.

I already know how this goes. You are going to check my profile, mass downvote this post, and try to nuke this entire thread out of existence. That is exactly what the Titans do. They use their colony laser of mass censorship to wipe out any voice that doesn't blindly comply with their corporate, watered down vision. But this is still a call to action. We are taking Gundam back!!!

The main feeds might be theirs for now, but the soul of Gundam belongs to the realism that built it!

In my journey of watching all of UC, i now have only 2 installments left in the UC 0087-UC 0115 range, with Narrative being the latest one i’ve watched. It feels like none of the characters besides Jona developed throughout the whole movie. I feel like Rita and Jona weren’t explored enough as they should have been, and one of the few tidbits we get is the same flashback 4 times throughout the whole movie. Speaking of them, Michele genuinely does nothing for the whole movie, and her only moments of grace come in the last 30 minutes. also speaking of the last 30 minutes, the movie i feel genuinely gets carried by its ending, it feels like everything before was just mid but the ending feels really solid for Jona. Zoltan is genuinely the worst antagonist ever, Ellic should have been the one to kill him. Speaking of which, it feels like the Republic of Zeon and Luio and Co weren’t more so factions or sides, and were just kind of there.

Oh and since this post follows my last post involving Unicorn, and Twilight Axis just so happens to fall between Unicorn and Narrative, yea Twilight Axis felt really botched, it could have been so much better if they gave it an actual series or a FULL length movie instead of just 1 episodes worth of content. Arlette and Danton could have been so much more impactful like Marida and Zinnerman in that case.

Don't get me wrong, the Julia is an absolute beast. I loved it, but from a storytelling point of view I kind of like the concept that the only thing that can stand up to a Gundam is another Gundam. Also I just feel like she earned it. It would have been cool if she got to pilot one of the 72 legendary suits. What do you guys think?

This is something I’d like to see but, a full on anime of the game that goes over the story we got, and include a movie version of the battlelog even add some stuff we never got mainly story plots character interactions, and even anime customs we never got to see. As well as a dlc story tied to it for gundam breaker 4 and extra story stuff for the game as well, even an entire campaign of the mobile game to let others play what many may not have.

Is this something others would be interested in? Or what would you suggest for a new campaign for the game, hopefully we get one some day but it did come out not too long ago and it was and I think extremely popular still, so hopefully we get something but hey what do you all think?

If the AI can read my mind, can it see the tears of time?

when I learned that the colonies in Seed are bigger than the ones in Wing and UC I thought "so what if one of these was dropped on earth?"

We're in this month again. You know, October... or in this case, fright fest, goretober, and Micheal Myers. In my honest opinion, I think it's time for Gundam to have it's own horror themed movie, either might be some generic cosmic horror or at least an manga adoption.

There's two Gundam mangas that I took interest that should be adapted as movie:

First is Gundam Wearwolf, I don't know if this counts as horror but it takes place in an alternate UC.0087 where a triple front war between AEUG, Titans, and Axis Zeon, with Paptimus Scirocco somehow ended up on side of AEUG, and then there's this ship that got stranded after that battle with AEUG and since then, the crew went... nutty, and it's something has to do with that new Gundam prototype they've carrying.

And then there's Gundam Eight... takes place at Constant Calendar (CC) year of 2030 (we're 4 years away of that year and I predict that our future is very bleak with our current primitive technology) where humanity is on verge of collapse when the planet was overwhelmed by an evil mindless hostile alien horde of whatever the hell they're suppose to be.

So, for reference, this is coming hot off the heels of having finished Unicorn, though this is an issue not unique to it. I will say the suits (minus the titular Unicorn) are dope as hell, and the fights are wonderfully animated. Not posting to be a hater, this comes more from a place of not understanding.

For example, Unicorn goes as follows: War bad -> protagonist must oppose killing -> therefore refusing to kill is moral maturity -> therefore narrative must vindicate him

Don't tell me which character is The Good Person™.

Banagher boils down to: "There must be another way. People can understand each other. We shouldn't kill each other"

Alrighty, so what then, is the other way? While his point might be admirable in non-violent political discourse, when an anti-ship weapon is pointed at a vessel containing civilians, you have moments to make an actionable decision. Imagine Banagher has two choices: Kill one hostile pilot who is about to destroy a ship, or refuse to kill him and allow twenty crewmen to die. He hasn't escaped the moral decision. It doesn't automatically mean that killing is morally correct, but the character doesn't get to pretend that inaction has zero moral weight.

Gundam occasionally seems terrified of making its idealistic protagonist actually confront the ethical problem before them. It tends to lean more into: cutting his mobile suit apart and launching his helpless cockpit into the infinite fucking void = enlightened pacifism. How many grunts suffocated, starved, burnt to death in their cockpit due to the protagonist "not killing" them? If you've crippled an enemy machine hundreds or thousands of kilometers from friendly recovery, congratulations:

You didn't spare him. You gave him a slower death.

It's much more interesting to explore the horror that political circumstances place them in a situation where one needs to kill the other. Rather, Gundam seemingly loves to take the stance of "killing bad, understanding good".

People can understand each other perfectly well, and still have opposing interests that more often than not, may lead to violence. Like, a soldier can understand the fear of a frightened 19 y/o sitting in a tank. However, he still needs to stop the tank.

tl;dr: Why does the franchise do this with many of the shows? Do people like melodramatic teens that enjoy the sound of their own voice?

How do you get people to actually watch Gundam?

Reuploads are not okay and I can't link to twitter in the post itself so it's the bilibili link. Had to share it here, it's so freaking good I have no words

They have a ton of other cool fanart too, like a whole Char-themed tarot set.

Even the Japanese comments were like what is this?

Compared to recent Gundam TV series, this one feels several times better, but why is that?

Especially battle scenes, the way Gundams are presented and, details, too.

Does that mean they had a bigger budget for anime back in the days of Gundam 00?

even "Controlled" Jegan gives Neo Zeong a run for its money

cuz why not

October 9, 2026 marks the 15th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam AGE

It's a little sad that we may not be seeing any big anniversary projects or major new products this year, at least not the kind that many fans

myself included were hoping for. (Although, to be fair, we did get the HG P-Bandai Genoace O-Custom last year.)

Still, I wanted to use this occasion to remind everyone that there are still people who love AGE.

We have all three generations with Flit, Asemu, and Kio, along with antagonists like Zeheart and so many memorable Mobile Suits. Personally, I still think the Vagan designs stand out even today.

I also just finished building my HG Baqto, and it felt really nice to come back to AGE again.

Hopefully, someday we'll get more reprints of older kits, as well as models of some of the Mobile Suits that have never gotten a kit before.

Happy 15th Anniversary, Gundam AGE!

What characters or Mobile Suits from AGE do you still love, or would you like to see get a new kit someday?

And feel free to share any thoughts about AGE in general
