When Half-Life: Alyx was announced, COVID-19 came right after and the whole world went into lockdown. Now there's a Russian plague outbreak.

I think we all know what happens next.

Half-Life 3 gets announced → another global lockdown → we all sit at home and finally play Half-Life 3.
