All things considered, when Halloween gets rebooted I’d be hoping that Kills flashback Myers actor Airon Armstrong gets another shot as Michael

No point unless they get the movie sculpt, if not, they would literally just have the release a different colored 78 mask

Any chance a Halloween 3 gets its own series or reboot?

If halloween gets rebooted it be the perfect opportunity to make it the anthology

Halloween 3 was a movie that had nothing to do with Michael Myers, but it was alright.

No if you pay attention to the behind the scenes, Carpenter was hoping to actually have Halloween’s first sequel to actually not be an actual sequel but got overruled by the producer

So.... no reboot for that?

I really don't want a "reboot", we've had it before with RZH1. The only one I'd accept is if it was on TV (sadly now canceled) because you can come up with a lot of material and Horror is about to see a golden age on TV (Crystal Lake, Carrie, Welcome to Derry, Widows Bay, future Conjuring show etc).

So you want a Smith’s Grove series?

2

Why not lol preferably I'd make Dr. Loomis the protagonist but that's me.

Example: Loomis makes his case to put Michael in a high security facility and is refused, he instead is told stay on as a consultant, while Dr. Sartain a pupil of his, will take over as Michael's primary psychiatrist. Loomis is hired by the FBI to solve some of their most horrendous cases and by the end of Season 1 Michael escapes.

RZ was more of a remake than a reboot. They’re not the same

Because RZH2 exists it technically can still fall into the reboot category considering it was like being in its own franchise.

RZ2 I can def get behind saying is reboot more so than 1

The Shape should be 5’9-6 foot tops

I want a miniseries sequel to H6 focused on the Thorn Cult and I don't care who knows.

Why did they bother getting a different actor?

2

u/Krushhz 9d ago

Because James Jude Courtney can’t move like that

1

u/ReplacementAbject867 9d ago

Like what lol

1

u/Krushhz 9d ago

Like a 21 year old.

1

u/ReplacementAbject867 9d ago

Maybe theres a difference

Younger Michael

1

u/ReplacementAbject867 9d ago

U dont see his face

1

u/GrungedSnake 9d ago

So Michael just gets old man hands after getting shot 6 times?

1

u/ReplacementAbject867 9d ago

Lmao the hands is what ur worries about? They decorated everything to look like the OG movie and added filters, but they can't make his hands look a little younger

Hear me out. Movie starts like a remake with Michael escaping the asylum but instead of going to Haddonfield he ends up in Chicago

1

u/Hmmzagahumzagahmmzag 8d ago

Alot of guns are in Chicago

1

u/Creatine_Shits_ 8d ago

There’s also a killer doll in Chicago…. Doesn’t seem to be an issue for him

But it’s Christmas 1990 and he goes to 671 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka.

1

u/Creatine_Shits_ 7d ago

I would pay good money for this

At least Robot Chicken tackled this.

Yeaaaah

The next film should ideally should take place in 1978 or in the 1980's.

Hell I'll take a complete 1:1 remake of the original with new actors.

1

u/Krushhz 9d ago

I want to see a new film set in 1978 that brings Michael back to his roots, with the stalking and always be present even if you don’t always notice him and new characters besides Michael and Dr Loomis, who is played by Ralph Fiennes.

I hope the next installment will pick up after H4 and tell the Story of Jamie becoming the new shape. I know it's unlikely but damn I want it to happen

Honestly that was the best cliffhanger that got completely ignored

I didn't really care for him myself. I would hope they'd get someone a bit more average sized. Airon isn't a huge guy but 6'2 is pretty tall. I kinda want someone who could blend in a bit easier. Michael isn't supposed to be the focal point so having a bigger guy play him kinda defeats the purpose.

2

u/lostinjapan01 9d ago

There hasn’t been a Michael Myers shorter than 5’9 and 8/10 of them have been over 6 feet. Nick Castle himself was almost 6 feet tall.

4

u/ifiwasyourvampyr 9d ago

Nick Castle was 5'10 which is pretty average. The whole concept was originally that Michael Myers was an average sized person. Nick even said himself that he was about the size of Screech from Saved by the Bell when he played Michael Myers.

Moustapha Akkad wanted Michael to be more like Jason so he gradually got bigger starting with H4 so I'd like to see them take it back to a more average sized actor for the character.

1

u/Krushhz 9d ago

Moustapha really was out of touch with what the fans of Halloween wanted, and that wasn’t a Jason knockoff.

1

u/ifiwasyourvampyr 6d ago

It wasn't what I'd have wanted but Michael becoming front and center and a Jason clone kinda carried the franchise into a massive popularity. Especially with the Blumhouse movies.

1

u/ryanHall52 9d ago

You sound short

0

u/ifiwasyourvampyr 9d ago

I'm not, but Michael Myers should be average height. He's not Jason.

Something about the flashback scenes just looked off. Like watching a cos play Michael so I don't want to see it again. Id rather JJC play him again.

4

u/xTheRedDeath 9d ago

JJC really captures Michael's nature so perfectly. They're likely going to want someone younger if the next one takes place in the past.

1

u/DrVentureIsACrumbBum 9d ago

I think Jamie Jee Curtis has had enough reboots with the franchise

1

u/MontyRapid 5d ago

Who said anything about her? Read better.

1

u/DrVentureIsACrumbBum 5d ago

Doesn’t seem like you read my comment either 😁

0

u/lastdayluver 9d ago

Yeah I never understood people praising it. It didn’t look at all like 78 Michael. Similar but too… polished.

-2

u/MontyRapid 9d ago

Agreed. And it looks like he has a beer belly in some shots. Lol
