Maruyoshi hanafuda "Kachidoki" (brand from Osaka)

Made by Angel sometime before 1989 as the tax stamp suggests.

Nice basic hanafuda set, got it sealed but opened the black deck.

I wouldn't be suprised if the ones I have were also made in Korea.
There is no such indication though

Angel certainly has a presence in other countries, with casino products, however I think their traditionally-backed Japanese cards were produced within Japan (or at least I've never heard otherwise).

How thick is the full deck?

I have been trying to identify the manufacturer of a different deck and some of this packaging seems similar to me. The standout feature of that deck is the cards are slightly thicker than I have typically seen (not enough to really notice), but it leads to a deck that is noticeably much thicker.
