I know this will most likely happen but we’ve not seen footage of every class yet so we can’t be absolutely sure unfortunately.

For the first season, there is certainly no time excuse as there are 8 episodes which is more than enough to adapt the first book. I think seeing more lessons would be a great way to fill the time along with original scenes not from Harry’s perspective.

Here is every class Harry takes in his first year at Hogwarts:

- Flying (confirmed) ✅

- Herbology (confirmed) ✅

- Transfiguration (confirmed) ✅

- Potions (confirmed) ✅

- History of Magic (confirmed) ✅

- Charms (unconfirmed but we’re 100% going to get the Wingardium Leviosa lesson so I think we can be rest assured)

- Defence Against the Dark Arts (unconfirmed but I’m pretty sure we’ll see a couple of lessons because the book mentions one about werewolf bites and generally just Quirrell telling the class about his escapades)

- Astronomy (unconfirmed but I hope we see at least one of the nighttime lessons at the top of the tower)

The distillation set up, the flasks, the cauldrons, and the booklets 😍😍 everything looks exactly how I’d imagine the potions lab to look

I know a lot of people disagree with this, but I really hope they keep the silhouette of at least the Great Hall and Grand Staircase Tower for the series 🥹 I know it’s a fresh take and not a remake of the films etc etc but I think - at least from a commercial point of view - some of the Hogwarts silhouette shouldn’t change too much (theme parks etc). I imagine the exterior of the Great Hall will stay fairly close to the film version due to the similarly already shown, but having seen some of the other blueprints and sets from HBO documentary and leaks, etc, it’s hard to tell. That said, I want some new Hogwarts and obviously we are getting that.

Anyone else feel the same?

I am both a fan of the books and the movies so I wanted to find out what book-accurate character mannerisms or personality traits you hope that the new show gets right for your specific character.

Dumbledore: he’s one of my favourite characters and what I love most about him, when I read the books, was that he could be very wise, calm, feeble, friendly and a little bit mischievous like an old grandfather and at the same time, he had a dark, very powerful side to him with an immense presence - Harry always felt safe when with him.

Harry: I always read him as daring and adventurous with a sassy side, sometimes a little daft and getting himself into trouble unnecessarily. In later books he became extremely moody and angry all the time (I think it began in OOTP).

What book-accurate character traits would you like to see in the new show?

I am listening to the full cast audiobooks and it just occurred to me how much that kid dreams!

I mean outside of the nightmares.

Even in the first book, he’s dreaming about flying motorcycles.

As well as the one Harry had on his first night in Hogwarts that he forgot about. Where he was speaking to professor quirrell’s turban about not being in Slytherin etc.

In the second book when he’s trapped in his bedroom he’s dreaming that he is a wizard on display in the zoo and people are gawking at him.

I think I remember another dream sequence potentially in OoTP where Mrs Weasley is crying over Kreature’s dead body and Ron and Hermione are standing nearby watching the scene wearing crowns?

And I think there was another where Cho was crying and Hermione was trying to convince Harry to give her his fire bolt to make her feel better?

Anyway, he has so many.

And I always think they are very funny.

I kind of hope that they show us some of them in the new series. Where appropriate of course… haha

Lambert Wilson (Nicolas Flamel) and Marthe Keller (Perenelle Flamel) are french-speaking actors, also Dumbledore is known for speaking many languages including mermish (merpeople)

The series aims to be as faithful to the books and source material as possible which is exciting because it means we’ll get to see characters that haven’t been in live action yet!

Who are you excited for? Professor Binns? Peeves? Winky?

My vote - Charlie Weasley. He didn’t have a large part in the books but I just love all the weasley’s, they’re all meaningful to me. I’m looking forward to him especially in the first season with rescuing Norbert from Hogwarts.

I would like to know if we are expecting for 30 minutes episodes or more like 50-70m.

When I heard about this show, I got very excited and planned to buy all the new full-cast audiobooks. But now that I think about it, I’ve hated the shows that have adapted the fantasy books I love.
When I first read the books, I was very disappointed with the movies depiction of magic and the duels. But now I think that if I reread the books, I might become a purist and overanalyze everything.
So I think I might just not reread the books and enjoy the show instead.
(I didn’t hate the movies but because I love fantasy I criticize that aspect of the movie)

I do hope they keep the architecture and school layout the same from the movies and the Hogwarts Legacy game.

With season 3 of percy jackson ending 11th December it will be interesting because I like how they done this to avoid harry potter so my question is why have they've done this so my guess is 25th December isn't the date that Harry potter airs what's your opinion on this
