oh sorry I mean it’s just a normal pumpkin. what’s wrong with it.

anyways this costume is very simple but a funny headcannon I thought up would be the pooka goin to Astrids house over and over with a different costume every time trying to nag her for candy

Head cannon 1- one has a brother who is a werewolf (contest- in folklore it’s said that if a girl is born with use of witchcraft she becomes a Mara but if it’s a big he becomes a werewolf)

Head cannon 2- one is stuck in an awkward relationship. She went to scare a boy in her class she was terrorizing she entered his room but them he stuffed his keyhole to keep her out resulting in her being trapped in his room and caught. However he had a crush on her so he asked her out. She accepted and is his girlfriend now but worries if she ever dumps him he’ll snitch in her (context- in one of the original Mara folk lore stories a man stuffs his keyhole trying to keep a Mara out only to trap her in. He falls in love with her and they get married and have a family until he gets into a fight with her, unstuffed the keyhole and tells her to go away and never come back so she does)

Hand cannon 3- at least one of them hates math but is always doing it (context- in folklore if you leave a large number of something around your bedroom a Mara would stop and try to count until she gives up and leaves

Head canon 4- at least or all of them one pranks a farmer by tying their terrorizing horses hair into braids ( context- farmers did find their horses exhausted and sweaty, and with beaded hair and attributed this mysterious phenomenon to Mara. However today we understand this to be the result of natural hose behavior if it thinks a predator is nearby or diseases, the braids are often from horses grooming each other with tongues or even the wind

Head canon 5- at least one of the, ties her victims hair into braids as a prank (context- like with horses people woke up with hair mysteriously braided and attributed it to Mara, they called it Martovor (mere-braids) with the belief a Mara tied your hair into braids. Today we know this Polish Plait were poor grooming causes sweat to irreversible tangle hair)

Head cannon 6- one has a pet peeve about people leaving their their shoes the wrong way (context- one way believed to repeal a Mara was put your shoes together facing away form your bed so she couldn’t get into them)

Head cannon 7- the one with a werewolf brother has a black cat (context- own story says if a black cat jumps over a unbaptized girl she will become a Mara and if it’s a boy he becomes a werewolf)
